HOME SWEET HOME!

IT'S BEEN 3 WEEKS ALREADY!!!

Well hello there, and MY BIGGEST APOLOGIES to taking so long to post here about the beautiful Brady's arrival.. I never imagined that life would be so busy when he got here when all we do is sit here at the house :). Between sleeping when he sleeps (or trying to get better at that, I want to do chores when he sleeps), timing his every 3 hour feedings, and just trying to stay rested (by the way that is not a possibility) time has slipped away from me. For that I apologize...

Which brings me to the story of Brady James' entry into the world. We were scheduled to be induced at 7 am on Friday, November 20. Well with my anxiety under control (I got really scared of the whole "labor" thing at the end of the pregnancy), we went excitedly to the hospital Friday morning only to find out that the induction had to be postponed. Turns out that they had nurses calling in sick and pregos coming in sick and the work load was too much so they could not handle my induction as well. I bit my cheek and accepted this that it was beyond their control and with my analness would want full attention for Brady and I, so the delay was for the best. After waiting a bit for them to get ahold of my doctor to see when she wanted to reschedule us, much to our delight- she said LET'S DO IT TOMORROW, Saturday, November 21st. Only bad part- 5 FLIPPIN' AM! Good night nurse that is early to turn into a pin cushion :). But off we went to go stuff our faces with some breakfast (you aren't supposed to eat so of course I was starving) and wait one more day to meet our son. 4 am came very early, but I guess from the anticipation the day before, it was not that bad this time and I was rearin' to get this party started. We had a great support team with us throughout labor and I thank God for them being with us as it made time fly by and besides me laying in the middle of everyone, made me forget I was there. I know many don't like a full room, but the focus that it took away from the contractions really rocked! I of course did not take long to request the epidural as I have said I would not take long the whole time :). However, I started feeling pain that I could have SWORE my girlfriends told me I would not feel! I was quick to let them know that OW! This is hurting! They started the Pitocin drip about 545 and the epidural I think about 8 or so?? I could be wrong :)..The anesthesiologist, aka- my BFF, came in and gave me some more of the "goods" and all was well :). About 12 something (can you tell the clock was not my main focus lol) I had a nurse come in and check me and I had gone from a 3 to a NINE in like an hour. Brad, thank god was coming back from grabbing something to eat, and was in shock when I told him that I was at a nine... My doctor got there very quickly and we went right in to BS'ing and pushing lol... It didn't seem like I pushed very long at all.... I pushed about 10 sets of 3 and then the DREADED FEAR OF MINE CAME TRUE. My doctor is a very laid back person who will talk to you about life and things going on in life, making you forget that you are pushing a little person out. Her voice all of a sudden seemed to take a different route and I realized that this cheery conversation that we were having was no longer happening and that Brady's heartbeat was rapidly dropping. I can't remember if I have mentioned that my biggest fear throughout the pregnancy was that the umbilical cord would be around his neck at any point in the pregnancy. Well, after all the sonograms and me paying close attention, that didn't matter now as he had it around his neck TWICE! Dr. Pagette went to super woman mode and I became an arts and crafts project. My slight little tear that she told me was happening before all of the franticness had turned into a 3rd degree episiotomy, the worse is a 4 which is literally all the way to the "#2" hole. I can care less, even now as I am still in pain a little, because that is what it took to get him the heck out of there and for her get that cord cut to relieve him. I just couldn't believe that it had actually happened after being so scared of that happening the whole time. Just so crazy...

He was immediately rushed over to the warming bed and monitored very closely for the first few moments of his life. I almost had a breakdown... but when I heard his cry, I REALLY almost had a breakdown. My worst fears turned into the best day of my life. I have so much love and admiration for the woman who I like to say, saved my son's life, Dr. Pagette, you will always be my hero. The beautiful baby boy that we thought would tear me a new one from being humongous, turned out to be a perfect 6 lbs. 15 oz. and 19.5 inches long.

I never imagined that I could do so much on such little sleep. It's amazing how even if I only have an hour of sleep, I have 100% patience with him. Those who know me well know that tiredness is not something that brings out the best in me :), I tolerate it but not in the best of moods :). Now, there is no wrong that could happen, I am so in love with him and so in love with my husband that gave me a part of him with our son. I am so in love with my life and wouldn't have anything different.

He is growing like a weed! We checked out of the hospital with him at 6 lbs. 11 oz., and as of last Friday he is at 7 lbs. 11 oz. :). I did breastfeed for the first 2 weeks but quickly decided that that was not the route I wanted to go so off to formula we went, and OFF TO THE RACES HIS LITTLE BUDDAH BELLY WENT! :) He is great, I still look at him and can't believe that he is here! I learn little "mom" tricks with him every day and am thankful that I have become confident in my ways as the first few days I had to have a crying time for myself for about a minute a day doubting myself and that I was doing right. I am so glad that went away! I think the exhaustion kicked my bootie....

Well I will update better, I promise, I wanted to atleast give the short and sweet version :). Here are some pics of our beautiful boy!

DUM.. DUM... DUM.... DUM...

Well here we go!! Here's to a beautiful baby boy that will be in our arms tomorrow! TOMORROW IS THE DAY! Or let's just say it better be! Of course if he is a creature of his "parent's" habits he will be late :). Come rollin' in on Saturday or somethin' :). I might die... if y'all haven't heard from me by 9 on Friday just don't ask hahaha!

I am an emotional mess right now, anything can make me boo hoo like a baby! I had a wise mommy friend tell me to enjoy his movements today because I will miss them... That has had me teared up more times then not today.. It's true, that part of pregnancy will definitely be missed. He is very active right now too, he knows it's go time :). So smart he is :).... I don't think that we would have been waiting too much longer then tomorrow if we were not inducing as it seems that every evening brings about some new pains or struggles that seem from what I have heard and know for myself, to be progression to labor.

It sure is crazy when I think... uhhh tomorrow I am a mom. I'M SORRY WHAT DID I JUST TYPE! That is just crazy... I swear I get myself so worked up from thinking about the anxiety, fear, excitement that it makes me nauseous sometimes! I just hate the uncontrollable... I have really grown to KNOW that I have become quite the control freak. Oh well :)... someone has to control stuff right :).

That is really all that I have to talk about... tomorrow 7 am. I will most certainly post on here as soon as I can. Thanks for all the love, kindness, and support throughout this "ride"... XOXO!

OOPS... doctor update/ OHHHHH YEAH, ANNIVERSARY!

NO CHANGE.. there.. the end... :)

I totally forgot to do a blog yesterday about my appt... It was a horrible Monday to say the least outside of hearing Brady's heartbeat which still thrills me to this day to hear :). My doctor's appt. brought the news of ohhhh NOTHING :), besides a locked in time of 7 am at St. David's Round Rock Medical Center. I still can't believe that in 3 days we will be sitting in a bed having all kinds of wires and machines going bringing in this sweet baby boy into the world.. Still amazing to me.. I am starting to be not as scared, from words of my ever so wise mommy friends and then just the fact of sorry, no take backs... baby boy is a comin' and uhhh you best push hahaha... But I am still 1.5 cm. and 70% effaced although sheesh i feel horrible rolling over in bed and getting up the one million times to use the facilities... So his big ol head is definitely down there haha :).

So I am soooo stinking excited about his going home outfit and game day outfit that a wonderful lady made for me off of Etsy! I totally recommend her as she has been so sweet and personable and even put a sweet note on the outfit which was wrapped so precious too.. She does any of the schools and if you look at her stuff on Etsy, she just comes up with ideas for onesies that are so cute! Anyways, here is a shout out to her and a pic of his hospital onesie for pics and well just to look FLIPPIN' CUTE, and then of course game day, which please lord can we please score more then just barely double digits, thank you, love you, SUPER MEAN IT!

Here is her link to the outfit and then her other stuff...
http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?ref=vt_related_1&listing_id=34217426

Here is a picture... soooo stinking cute. I can already see his little buddah belly in it :). His is of course a long sleeve since it will be chilly!

I also have news of a little niece that TRIED to poke her little head into this world last night!! I think that in her sweet little baby mind that she is like UHHH I DON'T THINK SO BRADY, YOU AREN'T GOING TO BE IN THIS WORLD BEFORE ME, HAVING ALL THE FUN HAHAHA! It will be very cute having them together! I can't wait for all the pink and blue to intermingle :)... Brady playin' with Barbies... Payton playin' with big wheels lol... it will be fun!

In the midst of all of the baby excitement, Brad and I's 2 year anniversary is today :). I really think it seems like we have been married so much longer :). It's been a great 2 years, so much learned about each other and about life and our ways of how we want to live...and ways that are yeah, not so liveable :). I am so excited to have our little family being established and know that the last 2 years are going to be nothing compared to the next 2 and on :). Although I don't feel that a life can be perfect, if it can then please sign my autograph book lol... I feel that you can get off the right path, and that you can be on the on the right path as well. I feel right now that Brad and I have rebounded from so many things to learn the path we are meant to be on that this is the perfect time for our little guy to join us and for us to keep building the life that makes us happy. LOVE YOU BOO! Happy Anniversary!!

Besides that, I better get truckin'... XOXO, until next time...

7 WONDERS OF MY WORLD...

So as I sit at work trying to make sure that everything is in line for my leaving work for 8 weeks (I mean how do you even prepare for that, there is no way they can do without me, RIGHT??? hahaha, so we wish huh?), I am very bluntly realizing that HOPEFULLY at this time next week I will be holding my fat little baby boy :). This is really something that is weird to think about honestly.. As I have said before there are just so many emotions it is hard to put everything in order in my head! I wonder many things... but I am going to try to compile them into 7 things..

1. I wonder if the stretch mark fairy will find me... Knock on wood, and it better not happen IN THE LAST WEEK, I have not had one stretch mark pop up... What if I have him and shrink like a balloon and all these "marks" pop up. I will die if I look like Freddie came and got me with his dagger claws! (By the way this is just me being hard on myself, by no means am I throwing judgement on anyone else :) that might be cussing me reading this ). I have located the nearest place to tan to the house which I will be there the day after we are home as I have been pastey Mel for 9 months longer then I cared to. I will be the darkest white girl IN THE WINTER that you have ever seen hahaha! As well as I found the shortest drive to Gold's which I am not sure if I like that I am SURROUNDED BY THEM... It really puts a damper on the excuses that I always have more then enough of in my head on not to go :).

2. I wonder how it will be again having to worry about if I have a pooch or if I need to suck in hahaha... It has been so nice for the last nine months lettin' it ALLLLLL hang out and not having one ounce of care about the gut that was molded by anything you wanted to eat being in there. I do have to say that I will miss that ALOT about pregnancy, I will not blog about missing pregnancy yet though because I can't see the list of things being long hahaha! It has been a great experience but I will pass my great experience torch to the next friend that wants it. I hope they have one as mine went, it was easy and pleasant (after the nausea) to go through.. something I will always have an appreciation for.

3. I wonder how many things I think I know about a baby that I really have no clue about. I was talking to my friend Jen last night and she reminded me as we were talking about her experiences with her boys about the realization that I had a few months back. Example of what I am talking about as far as having no clue... I consider myself pretty knowledgeable on knowing about babies, common sense type deals from being around my beautiful friends that are mommas and their beautiful kiddos. Or should I say that I thought I was knowlegdgeable until I realized, uhhhhhh HAVE I EVER GIVEN A TINY BABY A BATH? To me it is a very important part of having a child, am I wrong? hahaha.... Then that is when it hit me, we are going to have a fabulous time with me not being as smart as I think I am with babies, and Brad following me hahaha! I guess I am only really good at playing and loving on the babies which isn't bad, but man I think we are going to have a huge heart attack when we get home on our own haha!

4. I wonder if I will be a "cool parent"... I think having a boy- he will have me wrapped around his little finger, same way as a girl would her daddy. This scares me.. most of you know that I have a basset hound that has over the past 6 years gotten me as tightly wrapped around his "paw" it's ridiculous. I know that I sound dumb, but I base alot of having a kiddo around me having him... I love him more then anything, it scares me sometimes how much of a child he is to me and how much I love him as it scares me for the heartache that that can bring. The few times that he has gotten in trouble which I am sure Brad would give me the crooked eyebrow about my definition of "trouble", it will devestate me all day that I yelled at him and wonder if I hurt his feelings. I KNOW, I KNOW, I KNOW... its ridiculous but it is true... **RANDOM MOMENT STRAIGHT AHEAD** There was one time when he was I think one and he was enjoying his stay outside or so I thought while I was at a volleyball tournament until I found out that as I was in Austin, it was pouring in Pflugerville... I had no clue... to this day, typing this, I get tears in my eyes and feel so bad that he was in the rain. See what I am saying... it's bad, so I am so afraid that I will be a pushover when I have a kiddo... just by how much of a pushover I am with my dog :).

5. I wonder if I will really be able to physically put myself through the demand that I "think" I will be able to. If my make-believe world comes true, I will be in the gym as soon as the "south pole" allows.. or should I say I will be working out. I have a NEW AND IMPROVED VERSION OF.... DRUM ROLL.... BUNS OF STEEL.. yeah you heard me right.. you 'member don't cha.. the buns of steel, legs of steel, abs of steel, arms of steel.. Yeah I have them in VHS but can't seem to find my VCR hahaha! So yeah I have that baby on DVD in the plastic, as it was of course purchased for me to use throughout the pregnancy so that I wouldn't have cheese grater butt but as oh my gosh do I have...... but yeah that went out the window. I think I will be ok sleep deprivation wise because of the days of Dicks vs. Siemens and only getting 2 hours of sleep Wed.-Sat. every week, and I lived... barely, but with coffee I can do anything! haha! By the way, I am so stinking excited to tan and drink as much coffee as I want (ok I have to moderate with breast feeding in the beginning)! Doesn't that just sound awful though.. bring back the wrinkly skin and yellow teeth, that is what I am going to do.. BROWN IS BEAUTIFUL.. Dear Teeth and skin, BREAK TIME IS OVA (OVER)!! hahaha!

6. I wonder if I will really breastfeed as I "want to".... I just can't get over to one side or the other on the teeter totter I am on with that business. I will keep this clean as I know my pops reads this ;) but I really just don't like the idea of something drinking from me like a goat... if he starts nudging up on me like a calf that is going to make me call it quits hahaha! I know that that sounds AWFUL... and so selfish but man I would like to say that a woman goes through about the most 9 NOT SELFISH MONTHS of her life while pregnant... that takes me to think come on, you have 6 more weeks (I am only planning to do it for 6 weeks and then have the remaining 2 weeks of the 8 weeks total I am off for work drying up and dealing with the leakage haha) and it is so beneficial for him. It really does scare me to death bringing his precious chunky butt into the world during such a sick season.. especially this season.. 22 million with the swine flu, THAT IS CRAZY! With all that I am wondering about, I do not want to have to wonder if he wouldn't have caught a cold if I would have given him extra momma nutrients out of the milk jugs.... I don't even think Brad listens when I talk about this anymore because my mind changes every other day :).

More for jokes-
7. I wonder if I will still be attractive to the gentlemen that whistled at me driving by today. GOD BLESS EM, but ARE YOU SERIOUS...glad to know that from the CHEST UP that they can see, I am candy to them.. why don't I step out of the truck, and we can have a conversation??? I wish soooo bad that I had the guts to do that.. CAN YOU IMAGINE THEIR FACES! OHHHHHHH Hi sir, would you like to be my baby daddy?? OH MAN THAT WOULD BE PRICELESS. It just cracked me up, I seriously laughed... I was like yea, if only you knew what was below the window of my truck ;). These overgrown "feeders" come with a price, the price of a hospital bill after I have this baby lol!

Anyways, I have many wonders, but I am sure that this blog is in no way going to help my progression of working hard :). I hope everyone has a beautiful weekend! I have a doctor's appt. on Monday so that is where I should have all the final plans and will pass those on. SEE YOU SOON!

Thanks!

OK so my wonders have gotten a little long hahaa... but you see how random my mind is and how

YOU MEAN THERE REALLY IS A BABY IN THERE???

I am not quite sure if maybe I just thought that Brady's movements were bad gas bubbles, or if the actual images were the cute little being that would live in my gut o love til the end of time??? Maybe I thought the furniture in his room was there for my exercise purposes since I am never satisfied with how it is set up and move it constantly :). Maybe the clothes were there for me just to wash, hang, move around?? Not too sure what I have been thinking for the last pile of months.

Well today real life came and smacked me in the face as I was told LET'S SET A DATE! You know it's amazing how that statement in so many manners of life brings such wonderful things when scheduled??? I have always looked at it in an engagement light, and not so much as a LET'S MAKE YOU A PARENT, LET'S SET A DATE light :). I would like to say that the emotions for me are much more FRIGHTENED with the thought of a child looking to you for the rest of your life for inspiration, guidance, love... Never have I thought that I would be lacking in any of the parenting fields, or else I mean let's face it, there would not have been any attempts at being a parent. Right? But man, this is REEEEAAALLLLL! And what a realization it is!! There is soooo much happiness and excitement running through me as well, don't let me mis-guide you with my feelings! He has been kickin' up a storm too since the appt., so I think someone is as excited as we are! :).

ONTO THE NEWS....

Next Friday, November 20th, Mr. Brady James will be pokin' his head into the world and makin' us proud parents. This is assuming that he doesn't put me through a horrible 48 hour long labor or something :) and come on Saturday. I am not sure what time yet, I should find that out next Monday...We will be at St.David's Round Rock Med. Center (the old Round Rock Hospital). Please keep us in your prayers.... I am actually starting to get really scared... I have never had anything more then a couple of stitches in the hospital so this whole having a baby thing and the PAIN that might come with it if they decide to irritate me and not give me an epidural when I feel I need it :), that is what scares me. The pain.... mmmm mmmm mmmm... I just don't even want to talk about it :).

Right now I am 1.5 cm. dilated and have 70% efacement... so we still have a bit to go but we will see if he decides to wait until Nov. 20th... I told Brad that with our luck we will get a Friday the 13th baby hahaha... We have our hospital tour and "how to have a baby" class this Saturday, so hopefully we will make it! :)

Well I don't even want to start trying to prepare for being out the next 8 weeks but it must be done :). I will keep updating as the updates roll in!! XOXO!

Monday, October 26, 2009

Well, I got used and abused today :)…. Today’s appt. was rather boring and I am glad that I told Brad that he could work if he wanted (his boss offered him to work today, they have been off on Mondays but had an opportunity for some fabulous overtime today). They did my 35 week test for THE HIV :), Chlamydia, Group B Strep, and lord knows what else.. oh my blood sugar. I got stuck like a pin cushion too, which NEVER happens to me I always have good veins and MOST nurses never have a problem. By the 5th prick and her saying gosh, it’s right there why can’t I get it, I was about to do it myself. Good night NURSE, no pun intended, it just seems like a basic thing that you would have to be good at as a nurse you know? Maybe I am wrong… :). My glucose test on my urine sample actually showed high (so I had to explain my downing of Apple Jacks and OJ this morning :)…. Then on my finger prick (thank god that was done right :) ) it came back perfect, so WHO KNOWS.. we all know my sugar levels love to play games! Everything came back normal and great, so on down the next 5 weeks we go, ready or not. His heart rate was 135 which is great, he was actually at 130 at the sonogram on Saturday which I didn’t like AT ALL… but my doctor told me between 120-160 we don’t worry. Yeah I wish it was that easy :)…
No sonogram today or measurements for him… BORING :)… Come on tell me how chubby wubby he is PLLLLEEASE :)!!! She also checked my cervix which I don’t think anyone has actually pressed the issue to me of how UNCOMFORTABLE THAT IS! :) Shame on y’all :). J/K! I am dialated NADA hahaha! Which I was told was exactly how we want it by my doctor (she is speaking for herself right there ;) ). But yeah I was like, YUP I will be just as huge of a wiener as I thought when I speak of having a baby. :) I was like, NO THANKS I WILL KEEP MY KNEES TOUCHING, THANKS hahaha! LEAVE ME ALONE! :) so yeah I don’t think that Brad would have really liked experiencing all that although he will from now on at the other appts too :), I assume they will check me every time now. I have PERFECT blood pressure… I am fortunate for that but man I would not mind being confined to my house for work :). There are too many sick-o’s in my workplace right now anyways so it is very welcomed having to stay home :).

Saturday’s sonogram went well, he was a lazy boy though. I didn’t drink the OJ that I did the first time and figured I would be good :). He is not very active around 10 am so I should have as that is when my appt. was. That apparently is his nap time :), right after momma has her “second breakfast”.. He is very snuggled up to my placenta… The sonogram tech. told me that they can hear the mother’s heartbeat, so he is trying to snuggle with momma’s heart :). That was so sweet to me.. I think getting chubby’s cheeks into the world is going to be the hardest part of labor hahaha!! That kiddo has got the most fabulous big ol cheeks and lips… I can’t wait until he is here and smells all Johnson & Johnson lotioney (I know I made that word up and my spell check is gonna whoop me :) ) and kissin’ those cheeks… man.. so exciting :). He has all kinds of drama going on in the gut o love lol… gettin’ squishy! He had the cord in his face… placenta…. Haha… so the pics are few that are good. I need to make copies of the ones that she handed us because they aren’t bad… Here are a few!

LOOK AT THOSE VIENNA SAUSAGE FINGERS :)... The blurry stuff to his face is the placenta... all snuggled up to it.

This one his lips like his daddy's!! He has that little point that comes down in the middle of his top lip, just like his pops!!

Pound it! ;)

BRADY'S FIRST GIFT...

OK so I am sooooooooo horrible at buying gifts and then keeping them a secret. I AM SUPER HORRIBLE AT DOING THIS WHEN I HAVE PUT ALOT OF THOUGHT AND SENTIMENT INTO THE GIFT. So if I say that I am going to do my Xmas shopping or buying a birthday gift the day before, although sometimes it is the procrastinator coming out in me, most of the time it's because I get so excited about what I get someone that I want to give it to them RIGHT THEN. I could never, as much as I want to be, be one of those organized beings that shops all year for Christmas. I think about it every year around Christmas time and then I am like YEAAAAAAA RIGHT, like you can keep a secret all year on someone's present lol! I am hoping that "typing out" my excitement will help me make it to Saturday with this gift in particular that brings me to "bloggin'".

Monday is Brad's birthday, however, I have a SECRET 3D sonogram set up for Saturday that he has NO CLUE that we are going to. Since he doesn't read this blog I HOPE, I am going to post this :), DON'T TELL! :) I am doing this as his birthday present from "Brady"... He really wanted to schedule one for later on our last 3D in Sept., but I was like naaahhhhh it won't be any fun to see him that close to the due date, it will give away the surprise. AND YES RENEE I AM SUPER CHEATING THIS TIME LOL! Well Saturday morning I am going to give him this -

I looooove Willow Tree so much, and I thought this was great for him. I know that it's for a "new dad" which technically Brady isn't "here" yet, but I am putting a card with the gift stating- Surprise, Daddy gets to see Brady today, and that he (Brady) can't wait to see him too... then some lovey dovey stuff. I am going to put our appt. confirmation in the card as well..... By the way typing/ writing the word Daddy about made my goose pimples come out of my skin. It's weird!! Anyways, I hope that Brad finds it as sweet and heartfelt as I feel about it... :). Also that he is surprised as can be!!

I sterilized his bottles and paci's last night!! The more I do in regards to him the more it is real, and more real, and more real! His little piggies are wearing my belly out!! :) It's sooo tender.... We have a doctors appt. on Monday so we can find out more and see if we can maybe get something set in stone to get this party started :). I hope he isn't all smooshy face in the 3D sono... I have a feeling by feeling him that it is quite squishy in there! If I feel around on my belly with my hands on different sides I can definitely feel him.. I just don't know what and have to guess... maybe his bootie, maybe an arm??? A HEAD? lol... I don't know how everyone knows what they are feeling lol...

I bought my "nursing" gear yesterday and have a feeling that this could get quite entertaining when I am learning how it works.. Like for instance, let's say I don't have a nursing top on.. which I only ordered some tanks that I can wear under a shirt that I could then take that shirt off... how does that work? What if I don't have a tank on, do I strip down to my bra to nurse lol??? Or pull my shirt up so my muffin top is hangin' everywhere.. lol.. You can see where I am headed with this story. Very confusing!

Anyways, I am going to get back to work, hope everyone's week goes well!

Monday, October 12, 2009

I think I felt a little relief already....

Well we had our 33 week check up and everything looks great! He still has some of the biggest most kissable cheeks you have ever seen :). The sonogram pics are soooo dark, I am going to try to scan them lighter... He has some big ol wips (lips :) ) and I love it and can not wait to smooch him :)! So sweet!

Onto the GOOD NEWS :).... it looks like Mr. 85th percentile went down to 73rd percentile!! He is averaging out, thank god! :) I think momma here, and making an effort not to bob for sugar cubes in the sugar jar, and drown myself in the grease of the fried foods that we love, has helped us to be healthier when it comes to the BOTH of us breaking the scales :). As of right now the estimate on his weight is 5.5 pounds, and the BIG DAY estimate is 8.9 lbs.... His little legs are just as long as we thought they would be! His little heart just sounds so strong and is still beating "gorgeously" at 136. His kidneys look perfect as well as everything else... Oh he is just so sweet looking I can't wait to get him here..

Brad, Grammy Wilkins and I spent the rainy day yesterday in IKEA aimlessly wandering around.. :)... We got his dresser and "changer" dresser! I am just so excited, now everything is coming together!! I am able to put stuff up and have begun washing all the blankets and clothes! It's amazing how you really don't realize EVERYTHING you have received until you start putting it all in a pile together!! I have such wonderful friends and family! Thank y'all for everything!! Little shout out there...

Incase anyone is planning their family vacays around us (come on you know we are your numero uno ;) ) and Brady's debut I am really quite positive that he will be here the week before Thanksgiving... To save us from a half pound, all of us (doc, Brad, and I) talked seriously about planning an induction and that will most likely happen the week before. So I am thinking the 19th or 20th... But I think the next appt. we will definitely lock something in. Who knows maybe he will decide to be anxious like us and come on his own before the good ol due date.

Today Brad and I were talking about our T-day plans... I was trying to tell him that we really aren't able to commit to plans as our whole life is going to be revolving around my contracting (hopefully) uterus lol. We switch off families for T-day, one we eat and hang with during the day, the other we now watch the game with since they started playing the game on the actual holiday. I was informed that we will be fine taking Brady to Grammy/Man's (Brad's parents) for the game when he is maybe a week old.. lol... I swear he makes me realize sometimes that we are in for a big delightful treat of Baby 101 when little guy gets here lol. I was like yeah who cares about my POUNDING UNDERNEATH that will probably not feel the greatest lol...Much less you have a new momma here who will be getting used to the whole new being "suckling" her to death.. yeah that is something you want to whip out infront of god and all at a family function lol! Sheesh.... I swear sometimes you just have to realize that they (the boys) don't read the things you read, hear the stories you hear, and see the things you see with your girlfriends as they bring these babies into the world. If you realize that, that is when you smile and nod, smile and nod. lol... What do you do.... I think we will both have to sit back and giggle at what we think we know that we don't and vice versa!!

It's very exciting... everything is falling into place.. even good ol' Clyde. He is learning that the stuffed animals are not his in Brady's room (I just know Brady is going to get this animal that is his favorite and we are going to find it laying in some "snow" and Brady's heart break.. that is my biggest fear lol! So we are working hard for him to know! Sheesh... please don't let me have to spank my first child (dog) :).

Well that is all for now.. I took some pics of the gut o love but i forgot my camera at home so I know that y'all have all been madly waiting so I will post them soon :).

Love as always, and have a good week!

P.S. Oh I put a countdown on the bottom of the page last month you can't see it if I put it on the side... But now I forget it's there :).

WAS THAT A TAN LINE!!

Let's play pretend, let's say you are lounging on the couch, the fatness hanging everywhere..... Let's keep going with the make believin' to say that you are ohhhhhh 31 weeks pregnant, things just aren't sitting right... kinda like feeling your most bloated on any given PMS day.. just not feeling "pretty"... that is a good way to put it. (Excuse me while I shove another spoonful of cheddar noodle hamburger helper down my throat, I am on my lunch break as I am typing this :)) We all know what it is like to look in the mirror and feel like we have accomplished something in our getting ready efforts, or to feel like we have completely wasted our time and we should hop back in bed immediately and wake up tomorrow when we might not horrify the public with how ugly we feel :). OK maybe that is me and I just needed to vent, thank you for still listening :). Anyways, so you get what I am saying and where I was in the make believe couch position... On to the point of this lol..

Brad and I are lovin' Wed./Thursday night TV! On Wed. we watched Modern Family (we are giving this one another shot this week as they mainly focused on getting the characters introduced which was well.... boring) and then Cougar Town... OK NOW THIS SHOW WAS HILARIOUS! You really forget just how funny Courtney Cox was in friends until you watch her in this.... She had me literally wanting to hide under a pillow with some of the things she says, so witty, but embarrasing! This show takes me to the point of this blog...

There was a part in which Courtney is wearing a lot less then a moo-moo... and a little more then a micro-kini. So my fatness was watching this of course in the back of my mind thinking man when Brady gets here I am so going back to the gym and how this fat suit is comin' off LET'S GO, PUMPIN' MYSELF UP, when someone interrupted my thoughts. "WAS THAT A TAN LINE?" I looked over at my husband and knowing that he had just had word vomit come out of his mouth asked "WHAT DEAR?" He then felt the need to put more detail into the question, and this was my fault for asking what, when I knew EXACTLY what he said. Instead of reading the SHE DEVIL IS WAITING TO JUMP YOU look on my face, he repeated himself and added details as to just where this tan line was that he was so inquisitive about. "YOU KNOW RIGHT THERE AT HER BOTTOMS LOOKED LIKE A TAN LINE".... It gets better... so I say, well I don't know Boo I was watching HER FACE SINCE SHE WAS TALKING!! So still not seeing the "I probably should take my wonder to my grave and drop this", he REWINDS it so "I can see" what he is talking about. Although something of that importance, I think was more for his viewing pleasure as I don't know many husbands that would be so naive to do that with a wife looking at him like ummmmmmmm ARE YOU AN ALIEN? Anyways, so he proceeds to rewind it and it is a creme colored lace and he is like ohhhhhhhh I thought that was tan lines. I think at that point he got the point FINALLY and sat back and let the show go on...

WHO DOES THAT when you have chunk-o uncomfortable as can be wondering when the fat suit will come off sitting there. My husband, whom I consider to be very respectful, sure is passive when he doesn't need to be sometimes :).

I thought I would share that story as the second showing comes on tonight and I am oh so thrilled to see what word vomit I have to look forward to :).

PAIN MEDS PLEASE!

So I am not sure if you know but I am in no way, no how, not even almost contemplating trying to get this big boy into the world on my own. To my fellow ladies that have, God Bless You! Me, not so much.... I had a doctor appt. on Friday and after seeing the doctor an hour and 45 minutes after my appt. (my FABULOUS IDEA of scheduling my doctors appts. for the entirety of the pregnancy (I have 5 appts. left! Hooooooly Mooooooooly!) at 4:30 in the afternoon on Fridays so I can sneak out of work early REALLY backfired on me as we all know that the later the appt., the later the doctor is to see you once every person ahead of you takes up the day with their appts.! Plus she literally almost passed me coming in the door as she was running out to go do a delivery really quick.) my doctor asked, have we talked about pain meds... In which I replied, YES PLEASE, ALL OF EM :). It just makes me shudder when I think of pain, I am a big ol weiner and have noooooo problem saying so myself! If I could get a "pre-epidural" to take the second I feel pain at home, I would do that as well :). Besides that and the fact that good ol' doc was plum worn out by the time I saw her, everything is going great. She said I am measuring perfectly, and his heartbeat (136) sounds "gorgeous" :). I was told I carry pregnancy well, in which I winked at them and said "you know we love to hear some of that good stuff sittin' here chubbin' it up ;)".

I can't believe that the showers have started and man they started out with a bang with Brad's family! Such good goodies!! I can't wait to see everyone! I can't believe that we have 2 months exactly from today! Although fingers are crossed for a 39 week induction or C section :). It's just amazing how fast time is flying by! Hopefully it keeps on flying because I am starting to get a little uncomfortable at night sleeping, can't really get comfy. And the BEND OVER IN PAIN having to pee trips that have a milisecond warning, are getting very abundant! It's getting very exciting though and the anxiety of getting him here is KILLING ME!

I better go for now, have a great week!

What age did we start to read?

I need to go back...

Make that April 30th for Jeff and Lisa's new beeeeebeeeee! Or May 10th because I know she would really love to hold on 11 more days and have HER on my birthday :)!

ARE YOU THERE GOD, IT'S ME MELODY!

Dear my most beloved lord of my whole entire being-

May we talk for just one moment?? I know that in my life I used to be a firm believer in learning my lessons of life with EXTREME CHALLENGES for you and myself both to conquer. These moments are forever in my prayers with thankfulness of forgiveness :). I know you will never give me a mountain to high to climb, but the presence of this giganto baby really has me scared. As we both know, I have somewhat of a big boy brewin' in the gut o' love. After seeing this news link- http://buzz.yahoo.com/buzzlog/93042?fp=1 I have decided that I am ok with 85th percentile as the baby in the picture must be in the 200th percentile right? Or does my baby have 15 percent to go to be of this guy's size? If we put it into the "climbing a mountain" perspective, I am not quite sure I have the hiking boots required to get to the top of a mountain that big. I don't think that I want the boots if they become available to me. Can we just make it like a mountain cut in half, like those sweet plateaus you see in West Texas :)? Thank you lord for this sweet baby boy in my gut, but please please can we consider allowing him to not come out crying like a grown man ;). I love you with all my heart, please be with this lady as she feeds this baby every waking minute he is awake, and let his naps be plenitful!

Amen

Y'all better not make fun of Brady if he competes with this kid in the near future!

MORE GOOD NEWS!! The BABIES KEEP ON COMIN!

CONGRATS TO JEFF AND LISA! They are bringing yet ANOTHER beautiful Connell into the world, due on April 20th!! BRING ON THE PINK!!

Depends don't leak do they??

Well generally from 7:30-4:30 if you are looking for me I will either be in my humble cubicle, or my humble porcelain recliner (yeah right). In the near future you will just find me on the good ol porcelain recliner because I swear I am fixing to take my laptop in with me and work from the potty room. I can't drink enough water which much to my dismay means, I CAN'T PEE ENOUGH. It seems to me as though Brady is quite comfortable with whatever action he is doing that seriously has me almost to the point of pain when you just can't hold it anymore and running to the potty.. Surprisingly too, it is never just a little bit... so weird... But it makes sense of the always thirsty. It just stinks because it's not like I have an option, or should I say I always have the option but it's just not feasible right now, of not drinking anything. Yeah right...The tailgating festivities for us are going to begin this weekend with UT vs. Tech and I wonder if I will possibly be the dumbest one out there. On my last trip to "the place of release" I was sitting there and started thinking... EXACTLY HOW DO YOU THINK THAT YOU ARE GOING TO PULL OFF TAILGATING IN THE HEAT...DRINKING SO MUCH WATER... AND HAVING ACCESS TO VERY MINIMAL RR'S!! I will really have to "plan" my hang out areas to ensure there is a "place of relief" at the drop of a dime. Lord knows it isn't an option to be like nah I don't feel like going right now I will hold it... Ever seen an adult pee their pants? ;) Please don't laugh when I sit my butt in some depends.

As I am sitting here feeling Brady's movements in circles as if he was a hamster in a play wheel... I wonder just what else I am going to experience in the next 9.5 weeks. In this pregnancy I have had it pretty good I must say, after the 2nd week of the second trimester, I was good to go nausea wise. I think the relief of the nausea caused cellulite because I just shake my head and wonder if I will ever be able to find the little leprechaun throwing stones at my legs when I am not looking :O). I do have to say that me claiming this super fitness persona was going to be me WHILE I was pregnant... That is ridiculous of me to have even fathomed that I would be there... All my girls that do it throughout the pregnancy, DID YOU EVER KNOW THAT YOU'RE MY HEEEEEROOOOOOOOO! Maybe next time I will (hee hee hee)..

I am not sure if all can relate to myself when I say that by the end of the day my posture might as well be that of a "U". I have always been like that, horrible I know.. Well I have to say that my child is helping to remind me of that horrible act by kicking me.. I think the weight of my boobs (yes they sit on the top of my belly if I am crouched over HUSH IT! :)) bugs him or something lol.. It's hilarious.... But hey it makes me sit up! Such a good team already! He is very active and I just love feeling him at this point in the pregnancy... If he does stay positioned as he is now I could be in for it because little karate kid is VERY active with these legs, and he will have those suckers right near my ribs (prego's worst nightmare) so I will just keep hopin' and prayin' that he doesn't make the last month or so miserable.

Moods... I am soooooooo over the moods. Infact if you have been around me alot... Brad... Mom.... Dad... sorry, and I love you is about all I can say for the evil "Melanie" that can have some kind of attitude! I can't wait until these hormones are settled and I can try to be my normal self lol.. it is just really for the birds. Sad thing is you know when you are feeling a mood... The other day I was behind one of the MANY Austinites (I am going to have to call us Austinites out for this by the way) that MUST RUSH to the left lane on a three lane road because lord knows what traffic is up ahead! (this is with noone in the right or middle lane that is going to cause them any troubles) It was one of those annoying you are trying to get over to get around them and they keep getting over in front of you (Oh my gosh I don't know why that makes me literally insane)?? Yeah well I was just about to give them a little bumper lovin' and I looked down and was going about 5 miles over and wasn't in a rush to go anywhere.. I literally had to talk to myself and be like, WHAT DID THEY DO TO YOU? Do you really need to be going 10 miles over the speed limit, CALM THE HELL DOWN! And I was better after that self scolding... Brad has gotten out of many a butt gnawin's by me having an "inner self" intervention. Sometimes though, sorry.. I am too tired to fight off Melanie and I let her go. I swear before this is over with I will have a me, myself, and irene moment and pull a Jim Carey fighting myself all over a room lol!

Honestly, I really don't have anything important to say, this just seemed like a much better idea then doing anything else!

Oh I signed Brad and I up for baby classes.. They do them as a whole there with your breathing, what happens during pregnancy, and the care of the infant after they are here- all compiled into one. I am not at all interested in the lamaze classes as I have been there, done that, even taken the class with one of my friends little sisters and I will breathe however the heck it comes out is all I have to say! But I am interested in the after he is here class.... I am so scared that he is going to be ill and I am not going to know or what not... scary. I know that your instincts kick in but it will just make me feel better :)... hearing something that I will most likely forget! :) We couldn't get in until 11/14 so let's hope we don't deliver early and be wingin' it :).

Hope everyone's week goes well! Peace!

Cloth diapers aren't only for babies...

They are also for SUMO WRESTLERS...and I think that that is what I have brewing in this oh so growing belly of mine. We (Brady and I :) )got to meet our new doctor today, Dr. Pagette. She is GREAT, very personable (what I have been looking for, and was dissapointed about leaving my SA doctor for because I had found it in him) and sweet... I was not thinking that there would be any sonogram or anything done but much to my surprise we got to do an ultrasound and see Mr. Brady for the second time in a week :). NOT TO MY SURPRISE.... it was commented ohhh he has a little bit bigger head but nothing to worry about. Big Head and nothing to worry about should not be in the same sentence... sorry lol. Since I am scared to death of pushing out a head the size of the guy on Beetlejuice that shrank, or a head the size of Baby Stewie on the Family Guy, not being worried is just not going to happen. As beautiful as people try to make this whole "bringing a life into the world" thing look, yeah I have been there and seen it with quite a few girlfriends and knowing that I have a larger head to push out then they did, GOOD NIGHT NURSE. SOOOOO here is where we are at right now... Get this- 85th percentile, which I had clarified to me (I have always done the head nod like I know what people are talking about when saying that percentile business) means that only 15 percent of all babies born will be bigger then him! THAT WAS AMUSING... He already weighs 3.6 pounds! We still have 11 weeks to go!

Of course when the words BIG HEAD came out and my figuring I was destined to push a cantaloupe out of a grape was confirmed, the first words out of my mouth was- How does the whole deciding on a C-section thing work :). She seems very open to doing what makes the momma comfortable but we'll open that whole can of worms when it gets closer. I am VERY tossed up as I don't want to have a long recovery period when I am on maternity leave, but good god if I am going to have a kid with a cone head for months and have to push that "cone" out, then please let's do a C-section. Yes I know it is major surgery and the reasonings of me wanting it, or MAYBE wanting it are those quite selfish, it's still what comes to mind. SO that being said we will see how he continues to grow... maybe he will take a small break. Orrrr maybe momma should stop suckin' on those McDonalds's french fries and grab the apples til he gets here :). Apparently he is suckin' up the fat like his momma does :).

She did say that if I am interested in INDUCING- I'M SORRY DID YOU JUST SAY "IF" I AM INTERESTED AFTER TELLING ME THAT MY KID IS GOING TO BE THE SIZE OF A SMALL MAN IF I GO FULL TERM- that she will induce on week 39. I know it is only a week but that is one week less of him getting even bigger :). They show by his measurements (and I assume mine as well) that I am actually a week ahead of what my due date is, so instead of being 29 weeks tomorrow, they show I am 30 but she said that they aren't going to change the due date. I have been about 4 days off with my measurements from the beginning so it is very possible that inducing me at 39 weeks due to the "menstrual calendar" will really be 40 weeks and full term for him by our measurements.

SOOOOO what that means is that we are going to have a baby here before Turkey Day for sure :). What that also means is that this weekend marks a TEN WEEK COUNTDOWN!! Wow how that doesn't seem like long with all that I have to do! It also means 10 weeks of cutting back the lard that I am stuffing in my mouth as it of course tastes oh so delicious at anytime! No more fried, and cutting out the bad sugars... although I haven't decided what day to start.... maybe Monday.. I love the start on Mondays! OHHHHH you thought I meant THIS Monday... nooooo silly next Monday, on through til week 10 when I could wrestle a man and win :). This sweet boy has some fabulous little lips though, as my doctor had an obsession with finding his willy (which, poor thing, how many times must we peek!) and look at his top lip to verify no cleftlip.... He looks just perfect as can be... Right now he is still head down, from my right and lefts his head is on my left and his little bootie is on the top of my belly almost but more to the left of my belly button, and then his little feet are on the right side of my belly... makes perfect sense because i feel alot of movement on the top right of my gut, and then in the very lower lower of my belly which are his arms when he is stretching :). Of course anything can happen and he can change at any time.. but so far I hope he stays in this position which he hasn't changed in a week now so that is good news!! Right now he is not in an uncomfortable position for me as far as jabbing my ribs or anything... He seems pretty comfy because I feel the movement in the same spots alot, so it seems as if he is content. She said that my placenta is at the top which she said is good and that you don't want it on the bottom near the cervix. That will be something that I will take her word on because there are oh soooo many things that I don't get about pregnancy. Anyways so he is just perfect as can be (oh and fat lol) and I am verrrrrry excited! We will be getting a new sonogram in 4 weeks! It's crazy to see him, his little heart is growing as it should as well as all those other body parts :).

We are going to get his bed this weekend which I am sooooo very excited about! I will take pics as the nursery develops! I better run, Hope everyone has a great weekend!

SQUISHY...

Here are some more pics that wouldn't fit in my other blog...

I'VE BEEN LOVESTRUCK!

Well Brad better learn to share because my heart is once again being split into a THIRD part :) (My dad is my first love, then my fabulous husband, and now this beautiful baby boy, OHHHH YEAH AND MY DOG, SO REALLY QUARTERS LOL). We had such a great relaxing weekend that began with our 3D sonogram! There is not much that shocks me these days, but good night nurse, that sonogram was intense to me!! Before having this done, you think of how the babies look (which is not comforting with their oh so alien like appearances in books :))in the books that you are reading, and then after seeing this sonogram you get an overwhelming shock of HOLY COW, THAT IS A REAL BABY! After playing around with him for a while, we did have her mess with him to try to get a front shot of the CHIN... so far, there is no love dimple, or daddy's butt chin :). I think I am already struck with the MY BABY IS SO CUTE syndrome! :) So far she said it doesn't look like he has much hair, although I don't think that will be the case as I have had some heartburn like nobody's business! The Elvis looking hair do and beautiful sweeping bang is a shadow as you know he is gonna get momma's big ol forehead :). It could go either way though, I was a fat little monkey baby, Brad was the opposite, except the fat part :). I am not getting away from that, and by the looks of those cheeks in these pictures, I think it is proof that we are in for a toddler of a baby :). Seeing the movements on the screen while feeling them was something pretty awesome as well! I can't believe that per the update I get weekly about how big he is that he is approx. 17 inches and almost 3 pounds!

We get to meet our new doctor this week! I am really excited about this! Hopefully we will feel as comfortable with her as we did with our San Antonio doctor!

These 12 weeks that I thought were not far away at all with the timewarp we are in, seem like an eternity away! I want to see him and hold him and smooch those fat little cheeks! There are so many things coming up that I know time will fly but sheesh when I do the reference of THREE MONTHS it makes me want to cry! I know it will be here very soon though! I am over the being a lard part too, I am going to try to eliminate sugar and fried foods and walk in the evenings during this last tri-mester that I have entered. It said that I will most likely gain another 11 pounds before I am done with this little fella! I was like ohhhhh for the love of god, the challenge I have infront of me of my wave pool legs and strainer cellulite is going to be quite the challenge! OHHHHH and the moods are coming back so please have Brad in your prayers as I try to keep my lips shut (litearlly fighting with myself to not pick such a minimal argument) but so often I am not strong enough to. I am very ready to shed the fat suit and the emotions that have come with this!

WHERE IS MY BUTTON!

Hello loves! Well I just received wonderful news after being very scared of what the news had the possibility of being. I had my blood test to make sure my blood sugar was ok and that I was not anemic, on Friday. Well from my little experience with a non-planned nap (fainting) I just knew that I was going to be doomed for the next 3 months on a gestational diabetes diet trail. MY NUMBERS CAME BACK PERFECT! How in the world does that happen? It almost makes me wonder since last Friday was my last appt. with my San Antonio doctor, if they aren't havin' their toes stepped on by me, my gut, and my wallet moving on up the highway to Austin mid pregnancy. Meanwhile telling me OHHHHH SUUUUUURE EVERYTHING IS FINE :)... Kind of hard for someone who is hypoglycemic to believe :). I did wonder though because when I had to do a 3 hour test before they narrowed my symptoms down to being hypoglycemic, they took my blood for my normal blood count, then I had to drink the devil sugar drink (it's ilke a flat Orange Sunkist soda with 5 times the sugar for those that have never been blessed with having to drink it :) ) and they took my blood again right then to see how it shot up, then 30 minutes after they took it again which is where they determined that my body used up sugar much quicker then the normal person. Therefore, it was determined that I was hypoglycemic... Fun story huh lol... onwards we go... Well last Friday they didn't take my blood before I drank the drink to even have anything to compare it to.. then I had to come back an hour later so they could take my blood... It was weird.... But I guess once again I guess I have to trust that they know what they are doing and infact, be very excited that I could be getting a handle on my sugars as it is a daily effort that sometimes I work harder at then others. They also tested my hemoglobins (I think that is what she said lol... don't get me being a fat liar with medical terms) to see if I was anemic and my numbers passed with flying colors with that as well. So it looks like I will be using my face like a bulldozer in the bowl of Rainbow Sherbert I have in the freezer for special sweet tooth nights, TONIGHT! :)

On another hand..

Where in the heck is my sweet little belly button going??? I am not far AT ALL from having NO BELLY BUTTON! Like if you run your finger from one side of my belly button to the other straight across you can almost feel it being smooth!!

Let's see what else has changed... Oh, my "saucers" are RIDICULOUS! I really feel as if I am representing the Nat. Geo. channel on an African Indian Woman documentary. it is insane what has happened to my "feeders" over this whole preganancy!

As I am even typing this, little Brady is kickin' away... He moves SO MUCH! Twice this week I have felt him from one side of my belly to the other and from the top of my belly to the bottom.. at the same time like he is stretching! I think that those little grasshoppa legs have definitely stayed just as long as the first glimpse where we saw the daddy long legs and he is now growing into them. Nothing is painful yet, but definitely noticeable. You do not have to worry about me missing a meal because not only do I have to battle the growling, I have him movin' around like CRAZY when I am hungry. I have started playing music for him :)... It's crazy how they really do get to be like clock work on their timing of movement! So far he has been pretty easy on me, only waking me up a couple of times (I am a super light sleeper) out of my sleep by his partying :). It's neat feeling him, and makes me want to meet him so bad!

Speaking of meeting.. we will be going to see our 3d sonogram this weekend! I can't explain my feelings on all of this, it is such a high anxiety, excited, nervous feeling! It's almost like if you are on a blind date or meeting someone after much anticipation for the first time. I mean with those sonograms you get to see ALOT, although not exactly what he will look like, a good image of what is to come. I think everyone wonders what their children will look like all of thier lives and to have a little glimpse (I will be eyeballin' for the butt chin ;) ) of what is to come, it is just very very insanely exciting! I also pray that we don't see anything concerning from the fluid, or lighting that could cause us to have concern about anything that there isn't anything to worry about. Not physical defects or anything, I will love my little Brady no matter how God gives him to me, but like I had a girlfriend who her little boy had his cord wrapped around his neck... nothing tight or anything to cause him harm but the slightest tug on that cord when he was playing could have been really scary! Stuff like that is what I am talking about when saying that I don't want to see something that could cause concern. That concern has almost made me cancel and just wait until we meet him! But then I am soooo very excited because we haven't seen him in sooooo long, and to see this REAL BABY FACE of what is making all these awesome moves (I am sure with my moves that he will be a great dancer, especially with Brad's and his dancing chicken move, Brady is bound for stardom). I could go on alllllll day with all these jitters :)... It will also be the last time we see him, God willing everything goes as it needs to be going not causing any alarm to have a sonogram done! Anyways, I am ramblin' man over here! I will post the pictures Saturday when we get home!! Thanks for readin' and "listenin"! Love you all! Only 12 more weeks!!! Can you believe it!!

Until next time..

What comes around, when does it go back around?

Well my friends we are here, in good ol' Cedar Park, TX. The move overall went smoothly, we had some great friends and family help us load and once we got here they helped with the unloading so it went quite quickly. The move up until you entered the house went well... I can't express my shock once I entered the house and the condition that it was in. There is nothing worse then moving, and working hard to make sure that the house you leave is in tip top shape- and assuming that you will be walking into a home left in great shape for you to move into, then to move in to the exact opposite. The home had the wonderful odor of a lifesize ashtray which at this point in my pregnancy, the stale cigarette smoke makes me want to hurl. The guest bathroom looked like, man I can't even explain it without feeling nauscious, basically it wasn't fit to be used. The tub and toilet were the most disgusting things I have ever seen and can't believe that the home could be left with so much "evidence" of the previous resident. Yeah that is a good way to put that, EVIDENCE :). As far as cleaning goes I realize that some might not have the obssession that I do and that is something I can live with. However, when my girlfriends and I have to have an affair with a bowl of Pine-Sol to clean the house to even a living state, that is TOO FAR. It was just very dissapointing to work so hard (and yet be 6 months pregnant and SORE as can be since the only heavy thing I have lifted in the past few months might be 2 tacos at a time instead of one :) ) and be so excited that the hard part of cleaning and detailing is done to get to the "heavenly land" of your new home and see that it is worse then hell! What is even more sad is that most of the cleaning I have done just took a little scrubbing and stuff came right off! So that to me shows me that there was absolutely NO EFFORT and that it was left as if that was acceptable. I will stop going on and on because believe me this could turn into a very lengthy story lol!

Overall just the extreme sense of peace and completion being back home and around our family and friends is such a great feeling I am still overwhelmed with the sense of "YOU COMPLETE ME" :). It is so weird to me to also have to re-familiarize myself with the area as well! So much has changed! We are so happy to be here though and to be back together as having a "weekend husband" STINKS! I hope to see everyone soon! Here is our new address!

MOVE OVER ROVER, THE CONNELLS ARE COMIN' OVER!

Brad and I are headed back in town!!! I am soooooo overly excited I could just scream! We are moving back next weekend and should arrive in town around 12 on Saturday, August 15! We are moving into a home in Buttercup Creek, which puts us near so many loves :). Although anything is closer then San Antonio :). I am so very excited too because it is such a beautiful area to run and exercise in as well which you better "be knowin" that this sista will be leaving footprints embedded in the sidewalks around me after little mister gets here :).

That is really all I wanted to say, I am just so excited and wanted to spread the cheer :). I found out first thing this morning at 7:30 and within an hour had the electricity, water, trash, and cable on and reserved for next weekend lol. Not excited or anything :). Have a great week!

Blood + Sugar = pain in my "side"

I had an appt. yesterday which besides hearing little man's heartbeat was NOTHING as fun as the others have been :). I guess I am just in the stretch til the end with la-tee-dah appts :). Although that heartbeat is ALWAYS a welcomed sign!

What was not welcomed was the scale! I am surprised it did not give a GROAN when I got on it because oh my goodness gracious, I AM A SMALL MAN! I told Brad that I will be ready to body slam him by the time I am done weighing in with this big boy. RIDICULOUS! And yes I know I am pregnant.. But STILL :)... It's a SHOT TO THE HEART as my favorite permed singer Bon Jovi would say LOL!

Well the good ol body'o'mine reminded me in not such a kind manner last night that there will be no taking breaks when it comes to feeding my face! I am not sure if everyone knows, but last year I was diagnosed with developing hypoglycemia.. aka- BLOOD SUGAR DRAMA! After the endless dr's appts, head scans, evaluations.. the doctors finally narrowed it down to WATCH YOUR SUGARS. It was an exhausting and aggravating voyage but after a few months it seemed to help.. little snacking here and there, no more HI-C Fruit Punch, no more sweet Chardonnays :) you know the OBVIOUS sugar breeders. But of course over time as I felt better, the control of watching or much less being concerned with my sugars fell to the wayside. Well apparenty the "hypoglycemic monster" is back, and what a fabulous time for it to pop it's head in on me.

Out of nowhere last night I FAINTED... I have no clue where it came from but it was so weird.... I was sitting at the computer and I felt really light headed all of a sudden and then started getting those black dots in my eyes... I had my elbows on the desk and went to rest my head in my hands for a second until it blew over and the next thing I knew I am laying on the ground, and Clyde is licking my face! I had my sunglasses on my head so I cut my head open by the glasses. I sat up and was sitting there trying to realize what had just happened and I just started sweating, then it was all done and I felt normal. Of course first thing I think is oh my god, Brady, but I landed more on my side... and he has been movin' and groovin' like nobody's business so he is fine. I am not too sure what happened but it came on fast! That is what is creepy to me because usually I can feel it if it is a "sugar" issue.. I feel clammy or weak.... If I would have went to go downstairs when this happened I would have fallen down the stairs, that is how QUICKLY it came about. I was out for maybe a minute or 2... and it was like I was taking a nap or something. Very, very strange... I spoke with my doctors nurse and told her of the sugar drama monster that loves me and she thinks after us talking for a while that my blood sugar dropped DRASTICALLY.. I have drank soooooo much water so I know I wasn't dehydrated but I hadn't snacked as much. But it is just crazy, because when this happened when I was at the winery it was very slow coming and I just had to sit down and chill and drink some very cold water. So it is very weird! Anyways, so what was determined is that I need to constantly snack (keep in mind the body slamming I am aiming for :O) ) and if I feel even a little funny to call them and we will do my blood work sooner then the August 31st appt. that I have scheduled. Such a weird coincidence because at the appt. yesterday is when I scheduled the blood work, and then this happened last night. I was joking about it with the nurse and said, APPARENTLY THE TEST IS NOT GOING TO COME BACK WELL :). So we will see!

Besides that we will be moving into Austin no later then the weekend of August 28-30! But possibly, and make that very possibly, moving on the 15th! I can't wait! I scheduled an appt. to meet a doctor that will be bringing our sweet Brady into this world for Sept. 11th! She was telling me that starting at 26 weeks we will be going to the doctor every other week, and then after 35 weeks it's every week.. I can't believe that in less then 4 weeks we will be going every other week and be in the final home stretch! I am so freaking excited to meet this little "gutt kicker" that I could just scream!! It's such an exciting, anxiety filled feeling that you just want to yell outloud :). Or it could be my weird self too :). So exciting! Things are going great (with the exception of the oddness of last night) and I just feel so blessed.

I hope everyone is well! We will write, or see you soon!! XOXO!

ONE OF EACH!!

Well what an EXCITING day it has been for the family today!! We found out at approximately 10:55 :) this morning that Brady will be having a baby girl cousin following him (or heck maybe even beating him if Amanda delivers early! She and I are 2 weeks apart :) ) into this world! We are soooo excited for THE PINK THAT WILL RULE THE WORLD :). I needed an outlet for the bling and girlie things that I have found that I MUST buy! :0) I have been banned from ALL SPARKLY (and it is understood) for Brady by Brad :). Which now I am FINE with since I have "my girl" to go crazy buying for :). Anyways, I of course am so very proud that my sweet baby nephew Jackson will be a big brother for a precious baby girl! Congrats Jeremy and Amanda, love y'all so much and I am soooo ready for all this craziness of having 2 babies in the family at the SAME TIME! :) What a Merry Christmas it will be :)!

It's just a name right???

WRONG!

Oh the challenges we face once we find out what gender is going to come flying out of us, or should I say me, in ohhhh 144 days :). I mean the first question I had thrown at me was ARE YOU CIRCUMSIZING? Ohhhh my dear are we really already talking about my baby boy's thingy!! I just found out! :) You can imagine what all conversation was had after that :)

Name seems to be the first thing that we have been asked and it has also been the hardest question to answer? All I keep thinking is man it is just so permanent!! I know there is no rush, I want a name to call my little man! Of course, I am shocked that Brad's eyebrows have not become stuck in the "cock-eyed" position as it seems every "unique" name I come up with gets the crooked eyebrow lift :). I told him that there MUST be a name out there that we will both like! It's not like I can choose a name or vice versa and the other one not like it and then go with it right? I mean I can't imagine having a child and not liking the name that I will be calling him for the rest of my years with him :). Although I am sure that I will have some cutsie pie name that I will have for him that will embarrass him because that is fun :). So after MUCH denial we have gone back to one of the original names that we liked which is- DRUMROLL PLEASE!!

Brady has always been an old favorite and just seems to be the one that Mr. Bradley can't pass up ;). It doesn't have any significant history to it like we are naming him after someone or anything, we just like it :) and the way it flows together. We really liked Connor, but Connor Connell just asks for my son to be a fugitive :) Too many "Con's" :). Then we liked Chance James, which just doesn't sound good together at all in my opinion, it just sounds like a REALLY LONG NAME ;). Brady James has a good rhythm to it :)..... The only fear that we have with this name which I will try with all my might to prevent :), is B.J. coming out of his name. #1- That name doesn't remind me of someone good (you know that cheesy stuff you link names too :)), and #2 I don't have to explain the joke that he might have to deal with in his adolescent years :). I think if Brad and I don't call him BJ that we have nothing to worry about. I mean come on, Brady is just 3 more letters to say HAHAHA!

James came about from the wonderful and beautiful person that my beloved pawpaw was before he went to be with the good Lord above. I have always said that if I had a son that his middle name would be James. It then dawned on me, I guess I was walking around in quite a fog in my younger days (ok and it hasn't gone away :)), because my grand-dad's name is James as well as my good ol' pops himself :). Brad was A-OK with that as a middle name as well as it was the name of his grandfather. With that many wonderful men in your life, how could James not be in the name equation :). So that will be our handsome little fella's name :).

With that being nailed down, it's now time for fun decorating although Martha Stewart is really coming out of me! I have TOO many ideas for the nursery! Brad and I went to Babies R Us last weekend and registered (I know it may be early but it sounded like fun :) ). Brad lasted a good 2 hours but I knew it was time to call it quits with the registering when he went to take a smoke break HAHAHA! My sweet dear husband..... I am sure everyone that saw him knew what chaos was going on inside :). Besides that we are just working to get our house here rented out and get a house in Austin that we like. Tons going on, but it is more then welcomed as I can't believe how fast time has gone by in the first half of pregnancy!! However, I also can't believe that this Saturday I will ONLY be half way done :). I noticed yesterday, HEEYYYYY I HAVEN'T FELT SICK OR ANYTHING! I also didn't feel as tired, so I think I finally had that "moment" in a pregnant woman's life when you realize you are out of the tired nasty feeling first trimester! I heard it would hit you, and it sure did and made me happy! :)

Well this has been a long one, I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday! Have a great week! Talk to you soon! BLOG YA LATER hahaha!

THREE LEGS????

I like how you can see his lips and it looks like a little smile :) (picture above)

Poor thing.. this pic just wasn't graceful at all hahaha! The arrow is pointing as his "you know what" (picture above)

I love this sweet profile pic.. Look at that long ol leg pulled in just ready to pull out some karate kicks... (picture above)

I just am not saving him any kind of embarrasment :) This is the shot from between the legs.. Follow the arrow haha :) (picture above)

You read right and I am sure that you all know this but we have a little Mr. growing in my gut :). And lord have mercy on me, HAS IT EVER BECOME A GUT! I am going to have Brad take a picture of me when he gets home this weekend because let's face it I am not 16 and can not take a good side self photo lol. I am still not feeling him a whole lot as he is not yet the size for me to feel his activeness.. And BOY does he look active from his sonogram! Which incase you haven't heard, OJ will definitely make that baby move like lightning if you drink some before a sono. appt.! My sister in law suggested I do that and man was he movin haha! He has VERY long legs! The sono. tech was like OH MY GIRL, YOU ARE GONNA FEEL THOSE KICKS HERE IN A COUPLE OF WEEKS! I feel little movements here and there but I take it from the sonogram that I need to enjoy these "slight movements" as they are going to be minimal in a couple when Mr. Daddy Long Legs gets bigger :). Everything is perfect, they counted all vital organs, as well as limbs and everything is perfect.. We are still deciphering a name...we would have had a much easier time picking a girl name as they were minimal. We, however, have SO many boy names, or I should say I HAVE SO MANY :). Getting Brad to agree with me is another story.. so the search continues. It's just so permanent you know? And it has to sound good and famous for when he is a professional sports player so I don't have to work anymore :).
Besides that I do have some news that I am not sure who knows and doesn't so I will add it to this as well. Brad and I are on our way back to Austin! Brad already started a job there on Monday afternoon after our appt. :). We have a lease obligation here until October, but my landlord said that she understood we needed to move and said she didn't mind finding a new tenant for her. So that is my voyage right now is searching and searching hoping to get out of this lease before October, August if my plans work out. I am going to just transfer with my job as we have an office in Austin that we are one with here. It's very exciting and going to be such a busy next few months! But I have NO complains about that because I want the months to fly!

Well I am going to go I hope everyone has a wonderful 4th of July, be safe!!

THE MOST BEAUTIFUL SOUND

Hello again!! Well this morning was welcomed with a trip to the doctor for our monthly "bobble" check up :). The monthly spread on the appts is KILLING me because I want constant reassurance that everything is going A-OK! But, I do realize that should I need to go that my doctor would welcome me (although rolling his eyes probably lol) and that since I am not the first pregnant woman, that they have found a monthly visit is adequate enough. This morning they did not do a sonogram which I know, I know they don't do it monthly from what I have been told, but man why can't my doctor be different from every other one?? :) We did, however, get to hear that beautiful sound- BOBBLE'S HEARTBEAT.. and ohhh what a wonderful sound it was. It was a little too early in the morning for that emotional challenge! The tears welled up and I have never felt so satisfied and excited then hearing that sound. Pictures (sonograms), sure that is exciting too to SEE the existence of the precious little one, but to HEAR the existence put a whole new outlook on this "pregnancy deal" :). I have heard that once you hear that heartbeat that it really provides you with a new bond to this unseen person that you already are growing to love AND that could not be one bit untrue!! It's amazing! Should bobble be cooperative and unmannered :) and give us a little peek at the anatomy, we will be finding this out on June 29 :). We are very excited!!

As far as MWA and how I am feeling- Nausea has STILL been kicking my butt and seems to have come back a little more intensely! Maybe it's getting me back from me only getting sick a few times, I don't know! It's annoying though! My doctor gave me the reassurance that I can go back to the gym (I have not been going because of my self consciousness with this "gut" :) ) and that this second trimester is really a great time to take advantage of feeling better (not sure when that part comes ) and not being as tired ( I am trusting him that that will also be blessed upon me soon :) ). So into the weight pushin I will go because my weight this morning made me want to die! :) So far I have gained a total of 7 lbs. from the first appt. til now... BUT I am also blaming a couple of pounds that were rubbed onto my thighs from a month before my first appt. to the first appt. because I could not put food down :), on this pregnancy too :). Anyways, besides that everything is going well! I have also decided that it is best that I get some maternity bottoms as I swear I heard one of my zippers on my pants scream the other day when I was trying to zip them up :).

Well that is all for now, and I know Brooke I will post some belly pics soon :). I got my camera back this weekend so look for those this week! Love to all! Talk to you soon XOXO!

11 down.. 29 to go :)

Well I know that this blog has been long expected and well... TA DA HERE WE ARE! This is post number one and no I am not going to only blog every 11 weeks :), it just took me that long to get myself together and do this. Well the first 11 weeks have not been a god awful adjustment, but an adjustment none the less. I have not been at battle with extreme sickness, but have had a plentiful battle with just plain down and dirty nausea that has no sympathy on what you are learning about your body. I am going to go ahead and let loose on this thing, so if any boys are reading, sorry charlies :). The "breasts" (keepin' it clean :) ) are OUT OF CONTROL and so painful! I think about 25% of them actually fit in the "training bras" (they now look like) that I used to wear! That has been 2nd on the list of miserable pregnant thingee's :). Although I do like the idea that I can blame the around 7 lbs. that I have gained on the breasts, and not the junk pile of food that my body prefers over ANYTHING. Besides that and the psycho chick that comes out every once in a while, I am learning to adjust, and I think Brad has been thrown into not having a choice and adjusting as well lol... Poor thing, we both look at each other sometimes like did you just have an exorcism! Is the devil gone now??? I had to explain to him that I don't like the raging river of emotions either and yes I know I need to just shut up, but IT'S JUST NOT POSSIBLE! :) So by god just don't talk or tick me off for the next 7 months :). My poor sweet husband :).... Couldn't think of anyone better for this with his love and patience that I will forever be grateful for! He also is having great patience with me playing hide and seek when changing and not seeing anything above the knee for a while. Let's just say I AM NOT having an easy time adjusting to this new fat suit that God has so intended for me to wear for the next, how many days??? 201 to be exact... and yes I have a countdown on my phone :).

Oh and before I go on let me explain the "Bobble Head"... If you haven't noticed, Brad and I have rather not normal, LARGE HEADS.... We like to keep them covered by our lovely locks, but if we were to shave our heads you would see... ASK OUR MOMS... THEY KNOW LOL. I have come to the terms that I will be giving birth to a child of which a small head is not an option.... So to make this easier and less traumatic we have made a joke of our child looking like one of those little bobble heads that you might see a figurine of where their heads bounce around. We also like to compare to Stewie on Family Guy :). Anyways, just thought I would fill y'all in on what in the heck we were talking about before I continue :). Well I am going to ta-ta for now, and will post pics and all that stuff soon as well. XOXO
