Words to make you cringe with fear when you have a raging 19 month old…

“My 4 year old is throwing a tantrum….” as in “still” not, oh she never does this she must be tired or just in a bad mood. My girlfriend put this on facebook as in she was venting about her 4 year old that was “still” throwing tantrums. I am not sure if she still looks at my blog but if she does, THANKS KRIS FOR MY BLOG SUBJECT ;). The thought that the “from the bottom of the belly” screaming that the tot can make come out of him out of nowhere not being over on his 3rd birthday (I will give him a year since they are called the “terrible two’s”, and how wonderful is it that he is such the overachiever that he would start early ;)), it makes me want to hide under my comforter. To be honest though, I am pretty sure that although a tantrum no longer includes kicking and rolling on the ground (although with some I don’t think it is completely out of the picture), I am pretty sure I have seen some “BIG KIDS” (adults) throw some pretty good tantrums.. so I guess I just get to learn to “deal” with this little tater tot o’ mine… Lord please give me patience… and Gigi. HAHA!

As much as I point out the fits, he is still hella cute, and still melts my heart with some sweet notion EVERY.DAY. He is a very busy little fella, a lot needs to be seen and done in the hours that his eyelids are peeled back EVERY.DAY. I kinda feel bad because it is so SAHARA DESERT hot here, and he just gets so red cheeked and hot so easy, I feel like I trap him in the house when he loves to be outside. I always explain to him as I carry his twisting, crying, very upset self inside that I know he doesn’t understand, but he just needs to cool down a bit. I saw some teenagers practicing lacrosse at about 2 pm in the afternoon the other weekend and I told Brad, Good God I will be a psycho mom.. runnin’ after him with a water bottle.. ARE YOU HOT BABY, ARE YOU THIRSTY BABY… haha. It’s crazy the heat that these kids play ball in! But, although I will gripe every year, I have lived in Texas EVERY YEAR OF MY LIFE.. and this is just how it is. But I can still run after him :).

ZERBERRRRRT, the room was filled with laughter as I got my slippery beauty out of the bathtub. I was carrying him into his room to get him dressed, when what I think was meant to be the making of practicing to be a vampire, turned into a noise as his lips blew on my skin. A ZERBERT! He quickly became obsessed with doing it again.. and again.. blowing on my collar bone brought the best one and was SOOO FREAKING TICKLISH TO ME. It was very funny, and provided quite the giggles from the two of us.

4th of July was something of a bummer this year.. it is so SAHARA.DESERT.DRY here, like horribly no rain and scary fire dry. I was really looking forward to taking Brady to see some fireworks but there was only like 2 shows anywhere in the vicinity and the flood of people yearning for what I wanted to see and the way late at night time of the fireworks.. I decided nevermind :(. Next year we will so suffer through the heat, crowds, and whatever else because I think he will absolutely love it, but this year I knew he could probably have cared less. Might I say momma was right, kiddo wanted to go to bed around 7.. can you imagine how miserable he would have been in the heat waiting for fireworks until 9?30?? Oh dear, no thanks.

We did a little hanging out with friends..

Hanging out with the cuz’s

Got a little wet..

And dug in to some taters..

Did some swingin'...

And did some loungin' and sippin'...

Tried a swim outfit swimming with friends, that yeah, not so much haha! Who wants to feel like a turtle?? Not fun, and he wanted no part of it.

Not digging the turtle, stuck on your back floatie!

So much has developed with him, but the best development this past week or so is EEZ? As in PLEASE! We have tried and tried and he would give thank you a shot, but please he would just sit there like “I have no idea what you are saying, nor do I care to give it any attempt or attention”. But now he will make an utter, or a noise “EEEEE” when you ask him to say please before giving him something. We are gettin’ manners by God! His “swatting” seems to be deplinishing more and more, thank God. I will just die if I have a bully kid! It would just be soooo hard for me, I really hope he doesn’t go into the deep dark bully place that so many kids seem to go to.

He does have so much energy which I think is to blame for the yelling out of nowhere for a split second like he wants to throw a fit, but then gets distracted. It’s almost like he just needs to have more stimulation.. or an outlet to run like a wild man. It’s just soooo hot outside, and the kiddo turns hot and pink in .2 seconds. I think I may be way to protective over that with him though and he may just need to run a little and get a little pink and be all good :). I get sooooo red when I run or play sports outdoors so he definitely gets it honest..

Well I better get this post posted before another month goes by :). Until next time!

A tribute to the baby daddy's...

It's a little alot late, but Happy Father's Day!

First.. My momma's baby daddy AKA, MY DAD.

This man.. my first love of a different gender.. My Dad.

The one that has had strength beyond any strength I could ever imagine having. The one that has had a gentle hand, even when we heard WAIT TIL YOUR DAD GETS HOME ;) (love you Mom :)). The one that built a roof over our heads with his very own hands. The one that made it possible for my mom's career to be that of a mother that is always available to her children as she became the homemaker we can all only strive to be. The one that coached his kids through our yearning to become the athletes we viewed on TV. The one that I could hear above all others rooting me on. The one that was my cheerleader then, and still is now with his unlimited guidance and support. The one that no matter what, could read me like a book but let me make my own chapters. The one that would put up his fatherly shield for his daughter, and warn a boy in my life that he better bring me home on time. The one that would go looking for me if I decided I thought I knew more, and better then my loving parents. The one that would never hold a grudge as I took a rough road in my life, and be there with open arms, if not wider than before.. when I came to the end of my lesson at the end of that road. The one that has taken on his own challenges in life and never missed a beat, he taught me to live and learn. And that we have...

I do blame him though for a few things ;)... but none that I do not love about him, and honestly.. about myself. We like a challenge is how I like to think of it in a more positive way. Unknowingly, we both like to take paths in lives that bring us back to reality and teach us to never go down that path AGAIN. I think that we all have to find our place in the lives that God has created for us. I KNOW that everything that anyone goes through is not without reason, and we do become beautiful people as God intends for us to be. My dad has not had the easiest path in life, he has had challenges that some would give up questioning every part of their lives and doubt that they can make it through to the beautiful life. He has never given up, when faltering, he has taught me to turn to those that love you most. Sometimes, you deal with things yourself, it's not how to handle it.. we both have been so bad about that, but the lives we are living now shows that we have.. LIVED AND LEARNED. He has taught me that the holes can be deep when we fall into them, and the climb out of them can hurt even deeper.. but you get to the top. No matter what, you get back to the top..

He will always have my admiration, my support, my love that grows stronger every year that goes by. He will always have the absolute amazement at how lucky I am that I am who I am because I have him in my life. He will always have my respect, and appreciation of how forgiving he has always been of challenges that I put in front of him.. he never missed a beat in loving me and caring for me. He will always have my gratitude in teaching me to strive to make my son feel as loved, protected, and cared for as he has and always will make me feel.

I love you my beautiful father, I hope you had a great Father's Day.

Now.. on to MY baby daddy.

Never in my life did I know what having a child would bring to my heart, nor did I know what seeing a man in such absolute love for his child would bring to my heart. My heart overfloweth..

The people that Brad and I were have transpired into the most saturated with love people that we are today with being the proud parents of this little fella...

To see a man melt, get a kick in his step, an excitement in his voice when hearing DADA... it's something I can't get enough of. This baby daddy of mine is one of the most hard working men that I know, and he never complains. The guy sends me texts in the middle of the day of a picture of a thermometer in an attic he is working in that marks- 140 degrees (the dash is not meant for a negative sign either haha!), and he actually gets up and goes to work the next day to do it again. He does whatever he has to do to ensure that we have a roof over our head, a bountiful meal on our table (OK bountiful means chicken nuggets every night to little guy haha, but whateva, he still makes money to buy the economy size bag since it is all he wants to eat lately), and the finer things in life in our house. HE.NEVER.COMPLAINS. Walking crooked into the house because the 5 ton a/c unit took a toll on my He-Man. He will get up and go to work the next day, and NEVER COMPLAIN. He fully understands that even after a long day, work continues at home until the tazmanian tot closes his eyes to end another productive day. He doesn't leave me alone to keep trucking along getting dinner done, house cleaned, and the tot shiny clean and ready to hit the sack. He is great, and when he is not able to be home it hits him like a ton of bricks. That is a good father. To feel such despair when he can't be home to try to catch the bouncy bundle of laughter that turns his bed into a trampoline, just to snag a kiss.. that despair is called love. That despair is good, that despair is being a father called away from home so that your family has the roof over their head. The man will help however he can, never complains at any chore I ask him to assist with. Although, I HAVE TO ASK ;), I will take that over feeling like I am all alone to run the family duties.I have his love, his adoration, his beautiful son, I have it all. And I am in love with every blessing that has been brought into my life. I sometimes wonder how I have been chosen to have the most amazing people in my life, they make me whole. They make me a better person. They make me deeply in love. The man that won my heart on Christmas night 2004, has made my heart completely whole, and enamored with the man that he is as a father.

The man that has given me this to adore..

Shew! And that was just B's first year of daddy favorite pics. that I love!

Thank you for showing so much love, care, and adoration for our son and our family. I can't believe how far we have come, how quickly we keep moving, and the family that we are turning in to. I love it here :). I love you, and I love the man that you for our child. I love the example that he has in you to become a wonderful man, and a wonderful person as he follows in your footsteps. It's a wonderful path for him to be on! I love you baby daddy! Thank you for the world that you have given me!

Thank you for the sweets on Father's Day, Love Brady :).

OK AND BECAUSE YOUR MAJESTY SAYS ENOUGH IS ENOUGH, WE SHALL END THIS POST :).
