So maybe my momma and daddy raised me with good southern manners, but a simple wave of a hand can make it all better for me. In big people world, sadly the wave of gratitude has disappeared which will make me bonkers when driving on the road and my politeness not being thanked. But then that can lead into my whole deal of I really just need to do nice things because of my own warm and fuzzies that I get and not expect to be thanked. Yep I recognize that, but yeah, that can go into a whole other realm of the subject :). OK, so back to my tater tot.. the kid has the most fantastic wave I have ever come across. I am sure that it has to do with the fact that his hand and his arm are the best I have ever come across, and yeah he is pretty darn fantastic as a whole and is the best I have ever come across :). But aw heck, would you expect anything less from his biggest fan? His momma? I would hope not. He is very “passionate” about the wave that he gives people. When I say “passionate” I am talking almost bending at the waist and waving his little hand just as fast and big as he can- HI! HI! HI! HI! Just incase you can’t see him he ensures that you will by bending towards you.. it is freaking AWESOME. The best little wave came last night as I came to give him his last blanket tuck before I went to bed. Normally he is sound asleep but last night momma was plain worn out still from this weekend so it was an earlier bedtime for me then normal :). I walked in and that sweet little face had his arms on the blanket beside him and gave me the sweetest little grin and not picking up his arm moved his wrist and hand back and forth and softly said, HI MOMMA.. UHHHHHH COULD YOU NOT DIE! He is so freaking sweet! This was of course a lovely ending to an evening that consisted of young ‘un digging in his diaper with it full of poo and choosing to let me know that a changing was needed by bringing me a hand covered in brown saying “careful!” “careful!” which immediately let me know something happened before he walked into sight in the kitchen. From there he was grabbing on to my dress with the dookie hand and then felt the need to touch my neck while I was running him in to change him, VOMIT! SIGH… beautiful baby boy. From there I find him in the playroom saying pee pee while standing with his diaper in his hand peeing on the floor. All of that was I would say within’ 10 minutes of each other. Tell ya what, I will learn a lesson every time to not stack my weekends too full, I was soooo exhausted still and he tested the last wind of energy I was trying to maintain until bedtime :).
So I found that my memory card was missing last week and I about lost it in tearing apart every little inch of my house, car, and even searching mom and dad's driveway and work parking lot looking for that one inch of a memory holder. Finally, on Wed. night as I was putting clothes in the dryer, poof- there it was in the washer!! Oh I was sooooo freaking happy I started screaming!! It turns out that there were even more "events" on the card then I remembered!!
We took little buddy to the rodeo this year during the day to hit the animal barn and carnival! He was not too sure about these animals coming up to him him but to be honest, I can't say that I would like the face of a goat and a baby steer that is either my height OR TALLER coming up to me either when I think about it :).
:) Excuse the redneck bra strap in the picture please and thank you.
:) Daddy please get me outta here, momma's crazy.
:) Now the animals are behind bars, muuuuuch better.
This was really neat, it was a hatchery set up where you could literally see the remnants of the hatchlings that had made it into the new world or those heading this way!
He loved him some mariachi players!
WEEEEEE, this was the last of that happy face as we had a complete meltdown when it was time to let others ride! When I say meltdown, I mean like volcano type of meltdown, a fit that went from the carnival all the way to the car as he didn't want to get on another ride either.
He looooves being in our bed now and can climb up to lay down all on his own. It's way up there with risers to keep basset off, but nothing that this monkey can't get on. Once on, the bellowing for EMOOOO? or MINNNIIIIIEEEE? begins!
Well, the Texas heat is here, and although it isn't miserable yet, it is time to bring out the redneck blow up pools and toys and get the BBQ pit ready :).
Brady and I bought daddy a new BBQ pit so he was "getting it ready". I just thought you lit the dang thing and went but my chef knew otherwise. Momma will stick to the oven INSIDE I guess!
Will you please blow this thing up, so uncomfortable like this?
Let the fun begin! This was prior to the bathing suit, but I guess no time is better than the present to take a plunge if it is right in front of ya!
My baywatch beauty!
He may only eat things with a breading covering them, but by God my buddy looooves him some fruit!
Bub loooooves him some DumDum Pops.. I know, I know, mother of the year. Believe it or not there are nutritional things in that snack drawer too haha. I scrub the heck outta those teeth at night :)! OH AND CHECK OUT THOSE EYES!!
This was hilarious, being the type of person that still finds humor in little things.. He was walking around with this spraying between his legs. It looked so stinking funny! You know you woulda laughed!
I have so much more to say but I better break it up a bit, Easter is next!
