We love us some book time at night!! I can't remember when we officially started with introducing books but I think it was a few months old. What started with a beautiful stare at this piece of cardboard that mom puts in front of me as I have my last bottle of the night, has become a fun time with all 3 of us snuggling up in his bed to read the night to a close. JUST HOW I WISHED IT WOULD BE! He has this book-
Oh he loves him some WHOA! WHOA! ( That is " round and round" in tot language). He will sing with us and quite honestly I think we make a heck of a trio. He gets it honest because Brad and I put on a heck of a show with our duet we would sing for him when this nightly concert first began :). He loves to sing and pitches in so sweetly!
Then there is this book which has taken a close second in the last couple of weeks-
He is really taking an interest to counting and loves doing just that with this book. He is really wanting to count with his fingers so we are working on accomplishing holding up 1 & 2 and not having 3 & 4 pop too :). I will usually tap on the animals while I am counting and count as I am tapping. He will now copy me and count 1...2...(and skip the numbers in between)... 8,9,10 :) Or it is 1... 90 (yes, ninety :))..10 :).
Saying help and bringing it to you- He is doing really good about asking for help. He really took on to it quickly instead of throwing a fit when something wasn't going your Majesty's way. He will get ticked off and I will calmly and quietly tell him to show momma and he will do just that and let the tirade come to an end! We here it a lot now though :), HEP! HEP! HEP! But I will take hearing that beckoning rather than a squeal and screaming of my ticked off tot.
Well it happened :( the time I have been scared of since we took the wooden cage apart and started to big boy bed world.. He fell out of bed. He rolled off of the end of the bed and luckily the comforter was on the floor so he didn't have a horrible landing. But sheesh I can not imagine that abrupt awakening! Poor little guy!
And there goes the diaper! Well you can't let the little guy walk around in just a diaper that is for sure! Our little Chippendale in training has accomplished "takin' it all off", not good. I will pull out the duct tape and get gigi some too if need be :). The other night I went in to tuck him in before I went to bed and I walk in to see a naked bootie up in the air! He had taken off his PJ pants, and his PANTIES :)! I was like OH MY!! He had himself covered with a pillow so you couldn't see in the video monitor, and I mean who wouldn't! I can imagine those little "cheeks" got quite chilly :). Heavens..
My tot has been letting on to have some kind of allergy somethin' or other. Started noticing in December that "somethin" was going on but wasn't sure that it was anything more than allergies since I am pretty sure we leave in the middle of allergy irritants. Brad has them pretty bad so I am not shocked that he picked up something since uh they are twins on the outside, might as well be matching on the inside too :). Well the runny nose with the "clear substance" has come and gone along with the dry cough, but this past week has been different. His cough sounded croupy and I was scared it had grown into something else. That and I really wanted to take him in to make sure that nothing was going on with an ear infection or in his lungs or chest. So I took him in Friday before last and my THIRTY-THREE POUNDER is just fine as far as chest and ears go. They gave us a prescription of Nasonex so we will see how that goes. I really hope we don't have to do allergy testing and all that jazz.
EEEEMOOOO! He finally says ELMO! Lol.. I have always wondered what was taking him so long to say it! :) I mean come on, momma has shoved Elmo down your throat and deemed him your favorite!! Ya gotta say his name!! Lol. But now we do so all can rest in peace!
What syringe? We are guuuuhhhhrownin' over here! Guess who doesn't need a medical dispensing syringe ( like how I clarified that we aren't slingin' drugs over here hahaha). With the daily dose of Clairitin, we now take it right out of the dosage cup!! I am excited immensely about this :). He has always been great about taking medicine, sadly because of having to take reflux meds his first year of life I am sure. But he has added it to his list of aggravations that he has and every once in a while gives me a struggle. To be able to hand him the little cup and him down that sucka!! Its a beautiful thing!!
Simple Pleasures XOXO..
PICTURE PERFECTSSSSS

What are you doing oh love of mine.. NUTTIN' JUST EATIN' MY PIGGIES..
We love us some CHOCOOOOOLATE Pudding! ALOOOOOOOOT of CHOCOOOOOLLAAAAATE PWEASE :).
HAAANNNNDDDSSS! It is quite possibly one of the cutest things ever when he says that to me!
Grammy and Man gave us this indoor bouncey!! What a lifesaver for the rainy days!!
AHHHHH GET MY LADAAAYS OFF MY BOUNCEY!!! :)
We also busted out the Elefun which I am 99.9% positive that momma and daddy had a blast playing this more then Bub! He did love watching us :)
But why run around like a fool with a net when you can just dump them out.. mom and dad do it the hard way :).
Blessed be the patience of the basset hound as he gets head butted :).
He loves playing in the sink and is infatuated with pouring things in and out, in and out.. it makes for another great babysitter on a rainy day!
He looooves electronics, much to the drama it brings to those trying to use it :).
Last weekend we had sleet and snow!! I swear although I have lived in Texas all of my life, never will the weather fail to amaze me. Like I told Brad, we were in beanies with snow and sleet on Sunday and had on bikinis (not literally) on Tuesday with a high near 80! Just crazy I tell ya.
My beautiful rock star :).
Notice the twinklies in the background? I am officially obsessed with Christmas lights and the warm and fuzzies they give me :). I have decided to make them a member of the family all year long :).
This girl is the best baby sitter ever! Sweet Mikayla and little Jackson!
