YUUUHHH YOUUUUUU

Wow, it has been too long since I just wrote a normal blog without holidays/ birthdays being the reason for the season :).

Well, there is about oh nothing that we aren’t “up to” these days :). One thing that he is up to is 30 lbs. at his 2 year appt. which I totally didn’t put on any past blog posts.

This kiddo is UUUHHHHHMAAAZZZIINNNGGG :). As much as there are so many OOOOHHHH MY GOD GOSH (Momma needs to work on that, my little pete and repeat is a big occurance and he has picked up on saying OMG! Not hot under God’s roof on Mondays and Wednesdays I am sure!!) moments, there are so many that also leave me melted on the floor, a melted pot of love that is.

For example, although there are many times I have to beg for a LOVE YOU outta the kid, do you know that last night as I was laying him down that after I told him good night that he said, yuuuhhh youuuuu. SHUT YOUR MOUTH YOU JUST DIDN’T DO THAT TO MOMMA!! Give me a heart attack out of being absolutely so in love with him! We spell trouble though, big T.R.O.U.B.L.E. 99.9% of the time, some is funny, some YEA NOT SO MUCH. He has simmered down a bit though, seems to be getting ahold of those emotions that go pouring through these little fellas that they have no idea what to do with. Still has to get a few alligator roll fits in a day, but not near as many. He really does well when I ask him to please show me when he is upset and I don’t understand what he is saying. That has to be so aggravating for him, you know? He will settle down when I ask him and walk over to what has his feathers ruffled which can be a blanket that is taking too long to pull off his bed because it is too big :), to a wheel on his grocery cart that just won’t clear the door jamb to come out. Very big catastrophies you know?? :)

We still eat like the pits though.. Well he does, still has to have some crunchy breading for the dinner main course. I am really trying to think along the lines of, fine then you aren’t going to eat if he throws a fit if I don’t put something breaded infront of him.. but it is HARD! There have been a couple of times that he snacked a lot and I knew he just wasn’t hungry that I let him down and he is like HALLELUJAH, BROTHA IS FREEEEEEE! He doesn’t care one bit or get upset…. Me, I am just scared my sweet little anorexic baby is gonna starve :). I really hope he stops doing it, although I am also high on the hopes that he will be easier to bargain with when he gets older. You know, the good ol’ dessert bribery?? :)

We are outside if the weather allows and his little eyes are open!! He loves the outside so much, I am glad! I can’t lie and say that sometimes I don’t wish he could get entranced in a movie and just simma sometimes but for his well being, I am glad that he loves to run and play and take in the outdoors that is around him. We “fluffed” our backyard a bit too with this sweet piece of metal, and Santa brought him a bouncy house too!

I am soooo glad we got those things because I was starting to feel like he was just walking around the backyard like, oh, this rock is still here.. oh, yay the same green ball.. It just seemed boring to me, although he sure didn’t want to come inside either so it must not have been so bad.

He has already mastered climbing the slide in like the first day and now can get on the see saw most of the time by himself as well.

Everything about him, from his physical attributes to his skills is changing so quickly! He is really communicating well, still have what I like to call an Indian/ Hawaiian chant sound to his language sometimes but slowly by surely I am picking up that, HOW IN THE HECK DID YOU KNOW THAT THEY SAID THAT, skill that has always baffled me about mothers that could understand their child when I was left baffled at what they said. I swear it is the weirdest “education” I have ever felt running through me, you have know idea where you even get your knowledge :). I wonder what else is embedded in my brain by the sweet guy upstairs that I have no idea is there :).

This past week he had quite a runny nose and a lot of coughing so we did some sauna hang outs in the bathroom to try to keep him from getting any infection. To keep him entertained I would sit him on the counter and turn on the water so he could play in it for a few minutes. He started looking up at me every once in a while and rub his hands together and say, HAANDS, like he wanted me to do it too! Well I think he is saying to wash my hands while he is washing his hands! I hate that I can’t film everything they do at school and watch it because I wish I knew every little thing they taught him! I can only assume that they wash their hands for lunch and after play time outside. Well then at bath time I bought some new bath soap with a pump and when he saw me pump it into my hands to wash him he immediately got excited and stuck his hands under the pump and said HAAANNDSS! So cute.. if I put some in his hands he will either try to eat it ;0) or most of the time he will rub his hands together and rub it on his face or body like he is bathing himself :). Just growin’ and growin’ way too quick!

The other night at story time we were reading Good Night Moon and he was pointing at the star, saying STAAA. All of a sudden this little George Strait starts singing Twinkle, twinkle, little star, THE ENTIRE THING. Of course the words aren’t clear just yet but you can tell by the rhythm and the tone. It’s the sweetest thing ever! I tried to get him rev’d up last night to do it but of course if I pull out the good ol’ Canon he gets deer in the headlights look :). He loves him some singin’ and most of the time that he is playing and being good he has a good tune coming out of his mouth as well. He likes ‘IF YOU’RE HAPPY AND YOU KNOW IT’ too and is soooo cute! He will even stick his little fingers in his dimples on the “YOU’RE FACE WILL SURELY SHOW IT” if you are lucky and that, well that can make you just want to eat him up it’s so stinking cute. He hums along with his glow worm as it plays his song that he has been listening to since his wee months old. He will sing to the Elmo DVD that plays in the car.. he just makes my world a better place I tell ya. Hearing him singing I can’t help but smile which then just makes me a happier person. The last time that our family got together for a dinner Payton was singing Happy Birthday over and over, it was sooo cute, and guess who thinks their cousin is the coolest and tries to sing the same thing! So cute! He walks around constantly saying HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY… I think trying to sing “If you’re happy and you know it” by himself. WHO COULDN’T GET A SMILE with your sweet baby walking around singing that :).
We haven’t taken on potty training yet, honestly, I am freaking scared!! Hahaha! He has started taking off his own clothes, or I should say helping a lot at bath time so that is a good sign. He asked a couple of times to sit on the big potty last week and then would stare between his legs haha… but nothing happened. Let’s just say, I am keeping my fingers crossed that he doesn’t go straight for the big potty because heavens my arms are going to be NUUUUMMBBBBUUUHHHH holding him up and waiting haha! We shall see how it all goes though!! I have tons of pictures, so heeeeeere we go!!
I have a very eager helper when it comes time to unload the dishwasher! He will hear it open, take for instance this day that he was outside (hence the beanie, we really don't keep our house that cold :)) and ran inside when he heard it open!

Granted, it does end up looking like this, but the efforts are appreciated :).

I am quite positive that daddy is excited for him to be able to take up his man chore.

All boy, and looooves playing with a stick of any kind!

Is this not the cutest snottiest face ever! Don't worry, momma was equipped with a charmin roll in her back pocket to grab this never ending faucet, but I had to snap a pic. first :).

Peepin' tom!

My sweet Grandad turned 90 this year! The family and dear friends were able to get together after years of never seeing each other! It was so neat! And the kiddos were so cute playing together!

OK, I seriously think that this picture is the cutest ever, they look like a bunch of old men standing around haha!

It was crazy to me how so many years ago it was all of us playing in this backyard and now, IT'S OUR JUNIORS!! I really did take a second to totally soak that all in, it's very surreal when I was sitting outside just watching them run around and play.

Addison sitting with her Gigi, soon enough lovey you will be tearin' up the grass with the others!

Pappy playing with Jackson and Topper

Grandad's new birthday present!! Juuuuuust kiddin', my cousin is cooooool with this huffy of his ;)!

We went to our friends ranch in Floresville for New Years which Brady just adored and really made us want one!! As much as that kid loves to roam, he was in heaven outside here!

Just another good ol' day on the farm!

Last but not least, you know when it's quiet that he is doing something ooooohhhh so very wrong. This little magician made this POOF! and happen in only a couple of minutes! HOLY QTIPS!!
