What happens when temperatures drop below freezing for a day or two and a nice drizzle storm comes through? WE GET A STAY AT HOME DAY, otherwise known to northerners as a snow day.. snow days are pretty much non-existant in these parts of the good ol’ U.S. OF A. And although I am sure that people of the "snow land" would laugh at us, it's best that no Texan is out on the road in an "not dry situation" because, well to be honest- WE CAN'T DRIVE WELL ON ANYTHING BUT DRY ASPHAULT :). The white stuff may be sparce around these parts but we have been getting atleast one "showering of the whitey" for the past few years.. Must be the good ol’ EL NINO.. Or whatever they blame it on ;). We’ll just say that although the roads were very treacherous in the morning with the freezing temperatures and rain that preceeded those temperatures, it melted as quickly as it froze once that sun came up!! We were worried that Brady wouldn’t wake up from his morning nap in time to play in it before it turned into a gigantic slurpee :).. We got lucky and the big ol’ trees in the back provided a good cover to keep the sun from melting the snow too quickly. We bundled him on up and away he went walking around in the backyard… the crunching really caught his attention so he stared at his feet alot as he trudged along :). It’s fun comparing the events of this year to similar events of last year.
I will never forget these pictures..
AND NOW LOOK AT HIM! You know me, I love me some picture comparisons.. :) Crazy what change a year can bring eh? It still amazes me..
It looks as if the snow Gods wish for there to be no battle between the Ags and the Horns :0). On this day, let there be peace (until Thanksgiving :))!
Looks like he had a great time playing in the snow!!
