I think his smile is absolutley SCRUMPTIOUS in this picture!!
IT'S BEEN A LOOOONG TIME!!
Momma, when are you ever going to blog about me again??
Hee hee.. ;). Well here we are, I think I may be in a mad game of catch up, ohhhhhh for the rest of my life :).
The hair clippers is where I will begin today's saga.. my wish of him not remembering his horrid time at the salon is one that I don't think will be coming true no matter how many shooting star wishes I use up over it. I decided that in an attempt to make the salon a better experience next time, I would bring out some clippers that we have at the house. You would have thought that those clippers had done something so God awful to him, and there was no room for forgiveness in his VERY FASTLY beating heart. He let out the saddest cry and went crawling up me to get away from the very things that make a hair cutting experience go by quickly. Until I took them in another room and shut the door so that they couldn't "get him", he would not stop crying- HARD CRYING. I was like ohhhhhhhh noooooooooo! He remembers!! Dang it. I pulled out the good ol' shears to see if I could get my ol' cosmetology skills dusted off, and try to get the waterfall of hair off of the top of his ears. This will be a process, but the hair around his hair and ears is trimmed and not so cha-cha-cha-chia pet'ish :). We'll see.
Move over Justin Beiber, screw our pre-determined football career for hunkie, we got us a hummer! This cutest little hunk of love we have here has started humming to songs playing on his "toys" and I think he even has tried to belt out a verse or two ( we just of course could not understand him :)). He will look up at you while moving from one foot to the other (rocking) and have the sweetest but serious look on his face. You don't laugh at him either.. you rock and hum right along with. He will gently look down like he is the most precious thing in the world, ok well he is, and just hum away. So sweet. We could be on to something, I mean I am pretty sure that Justin had a video of himself singing straight out of the womb as well on his movie advertisement! You know as well as I do that when Justin hits "puberty"... that sweet high voice is out the window. So as much as you giggle, it is not impossible :), let me introduce you to the next hair sweeping Justin Beiber, his name is Brady.
On Valentine's of all days, I got to see that sweet little chubby hand go up to his mouth and then down from his mouth, giving a sweet air blown kiss. I am totally appreciating the fact that he is doing milestones along with holidays so it is easy to mark down in the memory books :). He is just so sweet and although he is verrry busy and not so cuddly most of the time as he has too much to see and do :), the cuddles, hugs, open mouth coming at you for a kiss, THEY ALL ROCK WHEN WE GET 'EM!
Nah, nah, nah, nah, booooo, booooooo- WE LOVE CHASE!
Chase me! Chase me! (of course half naked chase before bath time is the BEST, NOT)
Just takin' a stroll, I think this picture looks so funny!
He will give you the biggest giggles and squeal in delight if you even walk towards him with a quicker than normal hop in your step. This has also led to the CALL OUT.. Thank goodness for the call out, and thank goodness that he does it on his own and lets you know if he is heading to a NO NO. It's really quite entertaining but I guess at some point I will need to stop laughing :). Every morning our new routine is, I get him out of bed, take off his one ton diaper, get him dressed, go brush his teeth, THEN A SHORT GAME OF CHASE. Every morning when I put him down from brushing his teeth, we must engage in a game of chase before we grab our glass of milk and head to GIGI's. The whole time he will yell NONONONONONONO as he heads to our room and giggle with delight, and then in our closet he goes. I will quietly be saying nonononono as I go after him and you will hear him trying not to giggle as he stands behind my dresses to "hide". Then as soon as I turn that corner we both start screaming and off he goes to "run away" :) It's very funny, and I do have to say that there is an easy stop to not having to chase him as we try to get out of the door and are LATE EVERY.DAY :), I could just shut the door, but I don't wanna.. :)
He is getting quite the "grill" here lately! I don't get many opps. to look like I did when he was just a young "gummy" little fella, but I did get quite the view when he was not a happy camper at his last checkup at the doctors office. The top is a mystery.. I need to just try to pin the wiggle worm down and see if he will give me a giggle or something so I can see just what we are dealing with on the north pole of his mouth. On the bottom it seems as if we have broken through the molars (THANK THE GOOD LORD), then we have the front 4 and then 2 in between the fronts and molars. On the top we of course have the cute front 4, then behind those I am not sure. ANNNNDDD have you stuck your finger in a 16 month olds mouth lately to try to feel around?? GOOD, it's not a good experience :). We are very lucky that we do not have a "biter" per se! He, over the last 6 months or so, has come up to you with a big wide open smile like he is "going" to, but then pulls back when you tell him no. No Jaws in our house, thank you!
Oh the love for bouncing! It doesn't matter where, when, what, or even why- he will bounce. Even if it is with his own two feet and only bending his knees up and down, he will bounce. His first experience in a bouncie house was his birthday and he loved it from the first time he crawled in the giant vinyl trampoline! We have been in a few since, and I really think we have a future trampoline gymnast on our hands!
However, what do you think about this picture? Personally, I think that it is the saddest picture ever! This is why you do not see many sad pics. of him... I can't stand to take them.. but, I do speak of "the lip", and goodness gracious does this picture show EXACTLY WHAT HE DOES almost EVERY time he is getting upset. It figures I would have a kiddo that has acheived the biggest tug at the heart strings with THAT LIP!
Still not sure, it could also be not such a fun time this time either because someone decided that there was not a need for a nap prior to the birthday party :). What is momma thinking, I don't need a nap!! ;).
AHHH! AHHHH! Brad and Brady have a new way of communicating, AH! AH! They will yell from another room, AH! And the other will answer.. it's pretty darn funny. It's like they are an animal (OK they both really are) with a call out to their missing buddies or something lol. It's really funny! Brad went out of town last week for training in Houston and I had him on speaker phone with Brady holding my phone, they started doing it on the phone lol. Brad would do it and Brady would just get a big grin on his ear and give him a big AH! back. Then he told him NAAAAHHH NNNUUUUU (Which is love you, he more says it in the same tone that we say it to him, but by God it melts my heart everytime.) and I am pretty sure I heard a sniffle through the phone from Brad :). It was so sweet.
Don't think we have a doctor on our hands... he loves to imitate the coughing noise.. if someone coughs he will cough right back at them. Well he has now taken on imitation sneezing! That one is very hilarious!
My GREAT little eater is not so GREAT right now, he seems to be taking on a texture approach to things and being very judgemental to the poor little veggies. We are trying to nip it in the bud, but there is only so much persuading you can do with a 16 month old. I really hope he comes back to his liking of veggies...
I must say though that NOTHING can take away his love for SGHETTI, atleast I hope not :).
MMMM! MMMMM! MMMM!
Yeah right my dear, yeah right :)
I am really going to try hard to get back on track with weekly posts!! Such a busy life we have :). I have much more to say, but want to get this posted so I will share my other stories in posts to come. XOXOXO!
A friend of mine took some "in the wild" pictures :). Here is our mini family of 3 :).
I wish this one would have come out more clear, he was such a happy little fella and did so well smiling at Kellie!
OK, I am not soooo tan in real life just yet, although I am working on tanning the chub :). However, is there a slight presence of SNOOKIE in this picture!
I am going to have to tell Kell that my gobbler and pictures taken from below do NOT make for good pics. lol. BUT, how sweet does he look!
My happiness, my beautiful baby boys! They complete me! XOXO sweet babies.
AND NOW FOR SOME, NOT SO PROFESSIONAL PHOTOS PHOTOS :) (get it?? do you watch Ellen ;))
I am going to say that I have NEVER looked at someone how he is, he must get that look from his daddy. HAHA, HOLD ON I CAN'T BREATHE, THAT IS FUNNY STUFF RIGHT THERE!
He was reading to me, he is kinda amazing like that.
Pretty sure I was getting a "vroom vroom" spitting car noise, which by the way, how would you even attempt to spell that?
Although he seems to have gotten a little better.. this basket had to be dumped, every bath time, every toy. :) And no, I didn't throw away 15 of the 50 toys that he had never touched in his 16 months because I was tired of picking them up :0). That is only 5% of the toys that fit in that basket that you see in the picture :).
He could care less about any silly toys when this is on.. he won't leave it alone if it is on.. which is fine by me. Less clean up = happy lazy momma :).
One day I will have to explain why he can't "catch" the water spout. Until then, he loves trying.
Havin' a little playdate with his buddy Heston... I don't think they even knew each other were there lol.
I can't wait until he is big enough to play on the playground stuff !
Until Next Time!!
Can you not see I am trying to play here, serious business?
