January, February, almost March.. whatever‏- PICTURE OVERLOAD!

Memories, they are piling up faster than I can keep up by jotting them down. I feel like I am getting somewhat caught up though, so hopefully my posts will be a tad bit more "short winded" (yeah right :))... Here are a few on top of my memory-

Words.. So far we are hearing the basics mama ( I am almost convinced that right now that does not mean "me"... Milk maybe, sometimes means "me".... , dada, then there are the words that give us a giggle but I am not sure if he means to say them- OH GOSH! He yells GO! at Clyde copying me when I say that to him (all the time :)), Haaa (hot), Mil (milk- he has only mimicked that one when I ask him if he wants it a few times), Nigh, Nigh (night, night- he says this repeating after you at nap time or nap time when you ask if he is ready). GG GG (Gigi, but just sounds like the "g" noise). A funny one that he "says" is Pappy.. if you ask him to say Pappy, he will look at my dad and then make a motion with his mouth like he is saying POP, but nothing comes out as he does it over and over, HAHA.. It's so funny, and he thinks so too! He has always been a big culprit to let you know that he is ALLLLL DONE AND GET ME OUT OF THIS HIGHCHAIR..  A few times we rubbed our hands together like we were saying, all done.. get the crumbs off type of motion, but he changed it to a "double waving" action and says a version of this- NA NUN, or something like that haha... It's hard to type what it sounds like hahaha.. Then we get to these 2 words, and how important they are, his words sound the same because of the syllable similarity- THANK YOU. That one sounds different at different times- GA GU most of the time :). It makes me so happy because ooohhhh how I want a well mannered kiddo (as I guess that is a common goal with most parents). He has no interest in saying please, not one bit... Infact, he has started handing us a glass if he wants more juice..  we ask if he wants more juice, he smiles.. we then say- CAN YOU SAY PLEASE.. yeah, not so much. Instead he grunts loudly at us as if to say NOW! I am not even going to try to pretend that that sounds like PLEASE HAHA!

I still wonder if I will have the "motherly" instinct with understanding the "WHAT IN THE HECK DID HE SAY" sounds like so many mommies do. I am still shocked sometimes at what my mommy friends can translate out of the "sounds" that come out of their kiddos! Just this weekend we were at a BBQ with some friends with some little fellas Brady's age, one of my girlfriends pulled out an answer to something that her little guy said to her and I was like WHAT IN THE! How did you get that out of that! TALENT I TELL YA, PURE TALENT! Hope the talent fairy hits me hard with her wand because I am so scared I will be looking at people as cross eyed as they are looking at me trying to figure out what these "sounds" mean! I can't wait though! He says certain things so consistently in the same situations over and over to where I know that he is saying "something".. and I can't wait until hopefully the pronunciation is more clear and I know what he is saying! Hopefully it is something for the blog and not something that I try to make him forget how to say haha!

He will sit there and fully talk to you.. GARBLE GARBLE GARBLE, and then laugh in the middle of his word and keep on a talkin', just like an adult would laugh mid sentence in a story they are telling. It is very hilarious! But all I can do right now is raise my eyebrows in interest and be like OHHHH YEAHHH?? And he will just keep talking as if he was saying OH YEAH MOMMA AND THEN YOU KNOW WHAT ELSE HAPPENED! :) so sweet. He says Hi, and with such interest and happiness! He gets all high pitch with it.. HIIIIIIIIII! Like, HELLLOOOOOOO! I HAVE MISSED YOU! So sweet! Yesterday he was attempting bye, bye.. he has never been big on saying that and would just wave like crazy, but yesterday it was something like BYE.. then instead of saying bye again, it sounded like "DAY".. almost like he said birthday :). But with him you can tell with the rhythm of the syllables of the word on what he is attempting to get to exit those sweet little lips.

Mimicking- WOW do you have to watch what you do! Hawk eyes is watching! For example, in my efforts to distract him from trying to electrocute himself by pulling out the socket insert thingy (?) I had a plastic serving spoon that he brought into his room while "helping" me in the kitchen (which consists of emptying "his" drawers that I let him open and play in with all "brady proof" things. Picking it all up isn't fun, but oh well he is in my sights :)). I made a brilliant decision to tap it on the crib- Bubbie look!!! Well, I would like to give myself an A for distracting him, however, I also need a big fat F! His face lit up with absolute delight with momma's demonstration, and away he went to showing momma he could do it too! BANGING AWAY JUST LIKE MOMMA DID! And really?? How can I say no? HAHA.. maybe in a few months, but right now he will NO COMPREHENDE' why momma can and he can't! He is very conscious of what is going on around him, and I almost have to wait until he turns his head to do certain things so as to not "remind" him of the things that I don't want him doing that he will see me doing and "jog" his memory, i.e.- throwing away trash, he loves spinnin' the trash can.. it takes a lot to keep him away from it and occupied with other things, so I have to make sure that he isn't watching when I throw something away :). Taking the socket thingys out when I am vacuuming.. he will run right over to that outlet to play with the cord if he sees me bend down.. Heavens, I am learning, but wow is it a slow process in some parts of parenting :).

NO.. Right now it's a good thing, but for the future, only time will tell. For now he knows when he wants something and when he doesn't and just how to express himself. Mainly when eating, when the boy is full, the boy is full! He will shake his head, no, no, no, wave his arms like FOR THE LOVE OF GOD no more :)!

DANCIN, DANCIN, DANNNNCIIIINNNN! I call him happy feet sometimes, he looks exactly like the little penguin on that movie. He loves to move his feet really quickly like he is "joggin'" in place, and if you do it with him.. THAT IS JUST MORE LAUGHTER OUTTA HIM. He loves it!

For now I will let this memory stroll take a break.. I gotta split 'em up :)... Here are a few pictures from my phone that I don't think that I posted yet!! THERE WERE TONS THAT I DIDN'T REALIZE I DIDN'T EVEN HAVE ON MY COMPUTER YET!
