I can’t believe that I am taking on the planning of the 2nd birthday already! No way has it already been 2 years in almost 3 months!! Good night nurse! Do you know that I am so crazy that I actually think about the fact that if when he gets a full ride to college, I only have 16 more years of stalking him every day!! I know…. I really need to take a chill pill. But I don’t wanna.. :)
Although I hope know that the fits will soon subside, they are sure abundant. I am so becoming THAT mom that brings out the evil in her kiddo when the day comes to an end and I rescue Gigi :). Then I hear what every mom hates to hear… HE HAS BEEN SO GOOD ALL DAY. ;) then push over mom walks in the door and I have a super softy that you better not tell NO to or you will get the scowl like none other. Oh, and then the best display of “stop, drop, and roll” that you have ever seen. I have learned that I am quite the push over and afraid of confrontation with his majesty. Gotta nip that in the bud, or I am going to have “that kid” at his new school as I am also turning into “that mom”. What seemed like TEN minutes the other day, was a full fit and rollin’ and cryin’ because I was insisting that he help me pick up toys. I told mom that she needs to school me like Super Nanny does because I am pretty sure that it would have taken 2 seconds for her to get him to pick it up. ***sigh***
He loves turning on/ off the light switches, and I know without even seeing where he is when we get home and I hear the EH, EH, EH… I know that I am going to enter his playroom and see that uplifted wrist facing the light switch :). He is about 2 hairs away from being able to reach them, then I will pray :).
I think that mom secretly has a training center for him during the day. Do you know that when we say, let’s go bye bye, that he goes to GET HER FLIPPIN’ SHOES! Here I have to chase the kid like we are in a marathon when I want to leave the house, but he will go get her shoes and slip them on her feet! I think he respects the Gigi just a bit, don’t you think?
He is loving some reading because he is a genius of course. I swear I love the squeaky sounds of little sausages squeezing and turning the pages of the board books. He will just keep himself so occupied looking at books, love it!
Apparently he has been quite the observant one when we talk on the phone around him. It is just so entertaining to watch him with whatever item is closest if he has a need to talk on the phone, it will become a phone. Car, truck, book, spoon, remote, etc.. It can easily be a phone for bub! He has this fake laugh that is just hilarious! If he is doing something that he really feels is laugh worthy from you, he will chuckle this ridiculously fake BUT hilarious fake laugh. It’s fantastic really! The other day he went full on conversating with I can only imagine who on the phone when I was getting him ready for bed. It was just as serious as can be with breaks in the conversation so he could hear them speak as well of course with his fantastic manners :). We called Daddy before bedtime the other night when he was working and got his voicemail. When Brady talks to Brad he seems to think that you are required to laugh because ANYTHING Brad says, HI BUBBIE, har..har..har.. here comes Brady just a chuckling. It’s so funny. Well he did that to Brad’s voicemail message and was laughing at it thinking it was Brad! Haha! Then he pushed a button to make the lady come on asking for his password (he has a future in hacking I think) and he goes, YEAH, like he loves to say haha. I WAS CRACKING UP AT THAT LITTLE FELLA! Such an entertaining little person he is.
He is now in 8/9 shoes! I swear the kiddos feet are such little balls of kissable love! I have always hated feet but I swear I have this new love for baby feet and that big toe that seem to point with as they flex when they do anything. He still does that and I just love it as I fall back into the beginning days taking in every feature that he had. Seeing these features grow so quickly is just plain crazy to me!
We have been having great fun with bubble beards, although I keep forgetting to take a picture! He has this little octopus bubble machine that sticks on the side of the tub that says BYE-BYE when it is done, he says BUUHH BUUUHHH in his highest cutest pitch right back to her, love it! I bring out my best pipes for singing some songs during bath time and so far he has taken a liking to Old McDonald, Itsy Bitsy Spider OF COURSE, and now Row, Row, your boat. Once I get done singing my verse he will sing his, and it is the sweetest thing ever! It sounds nothing like any of the words, but the rhythm is great! I need to video him doing it so bad because he keeps shyin’ up on me when I try!
We had our first goose-egg a couple of weeks ago! He went diving into a little chair that in turn threw him right back out of it and into the coffee table leg. THANK THE GOOD LORD that Gigi padded those things when he first started making his moves! It looked just awful, scraped down his nose and cheek, but man it could have been so much worse! PROPS TO GIGI, who I know was so distraught over it when it happened! XOXO!
Oh the temptation! I really wish that I could bring a temptation to someone to keep me from doing something I know I will regret hahaha! LIKE EATING CANDY LIKE A CRAZY PERSON. My son is showing me real strength as he does just that! Anything he isn’t supposed to have, or shouldn’t have I should say, he will bring it to you as if to say “get this outta here please, it’s really calling my name”. He does it every day with a candle that I have sitting out that he knows is a no-no, he will run over there immediately when we get home and bring it to me :).
So we have always thought we were ninjas when Brady would be in bed at night, not yet asleep. We still use the projection mobile that of course now projects onto the ceiling. It has a remote control that you can use to reset it once the 20 min. is up if the tike is still playin’ in bed. The other night I became “busted”! He is big on saying NIGH, NIGH! as we are shutting the door and then ohhhhh about one gazillion times after that. :) I just can’t not answer him if I hear him, I think that is so sad haha! But, I am having to learn as the nigh-nigh’s are becoming longer and longer of a game. A couple of weeks ago (or the “other night”, as I referenced earlier haha) I went to reset the mobile with the remote and as I pushed it off and back on I hear NIIIIIIGH, NIIIIIIIGH! Hahahaha! It was hilarious! I just quietly said “night, night baby”, and that was all there was, to sleep he went :). It was just so funny as he said it like I KNOW YOU ARE THERE!, since he can’t see us crack the door open. Good times!
THIS WHITE BOY UNDER MY ROOF HAS UPS! We officially have air under our heels and couldn’t be more excited then jumping and actually getting off the ground! I squeal with laughter EVERY.TIME he jumps in front of me and that kiddo gets a smile so big that his eyes squint closed :). His little body looks like it is making the BOYOYOYOYOOIIINNNNGGGG sound like a diving board looks. HAHAHA, I don’t know how to spell that noise :). So much fun going on around him!
PICTURE PAAAARRTTAAAYY!
I see ALOT of this in my future :)
Hmmmmm... show me dad, show me!!
The basset is a very high attention getter from the bubbie~
Oh god, here comes that kid again..
He is so patient with Brady... especially as his eyes are getting poked at.
And nose being grabbed..
RAAAHHHHRRRR! Not a mornin' person in this pic. would ya say?
Did I tell you about that time that my kiddo wore a MULLET DIAPER..
And loved every second of it!
Loves reaching for fan pulls... and making my arms horrifically numb!
This is what we do in TEJAS when it is HOT AS FREAKING HELL!
Not sure this was a good idea..
But for now, my vote is HELL YES IT WAS! No more EH!EH!EH! come turn on the lights momma :)
His face rocks in this picture!
Automatic face lift!
124 days, 8 hours, 20 minutes until Santa is here!!
