It seems the older he gets (I don't want to talk about it though, the getting older part :)) the bigger his heart and his love gets as well. He has continued to become so compassionate, kind, and loving towards everyone, and it just keeps getting better. He really is one of those kids that people flock too, and although sometimes he will become shy guy, most of the time he will engage with the people and cause them to fall in love. I am glad to know that I am not the only impartial one that is totally enamoured with him. So many times we are stopped and told how cute he is, and no, it's not me talking to myself in the mirror :). I know this sounds totally redneck, but I totally love he and I's weekend trips to Walmart, most of the time on Sunday mornings. He is so stinking sweet, granted, in order for him to be this "sweet" we must swing into McDonalds and pick him up something to snack on and momma always needs a cup of joe :). He will tell EVERY SINGLE PERSON Hi that we go by, and if you don't acknowledge him (that is so stinking annoying to me, this kiddo is happy as a clam and tells you hi, and you don't say hi back... have a nice time in hell big ol' meanie) he will say it again, and again, and again. :) he doesn't like to be ignored either apparently :), I will softly say that sometimes people don't want to say hi, shhhhhhh! What I really want to do is say it quite loudly that some people are so rude, go kick em in the shin :). But then I would join them in hell, so we will let them enjoy that hot ride on their own :). There is a checker lady that just warms my heart, I know she has to be a great grandma to someone, she is so sweet. She is slooooow as Christmas, but Brady and I will go find her because she is so sweet and kind and she and Brady make each other's days. On our way out the door he will say, BYE! and SEE YOU LATER! to EVERY.SINGLE.PERSON, both patron and checkers that we pass. I just smile at him and let him do his thing, and we leave a trail of smiles on all of those faces :). Such a lover boy, I love it. He has been saying I love you for a while, but I now say I love you SO MUCH to him, so he will now just say SO MUCH, that is all HAHA! So funny.
What a face!
Snuggle bug!
The other night when we were reading before bed, Brad was playing around with him and tickling him and Brady looks at him and says, AW COME ON. HAHAHA! Oh let the fun times begin of him bringing home some hilarious (and I am sure not so hilarious at times) things from school. I am pretty sure by the way that the Longhorn game went the other night that he probably picked it up from daddy yelling at the TV :). We really have to watch it, he is a repeating machine!!
Speaking of school, he is doing just marvelous! He is doing well and has been doing great counting and then of course the good ol' ABC's have always been a favorite of his to sing. He has now began spelling things out that he sees during the day. He and I went to Academy last weekend and he started pointing and spelling out "OUTDOORS" on the sign on the front of the store when I was buckling him in. Then at Mom and Dad's he spelled out SONY, as he saw it on the front of the TV. Genius I tell ya :). They have been talking about moving him up in classes at school but we shall see. Smarts wise, he's got it.. what is going to hold him back possibly is his potty training habits. He has to be full time potty trained prior to moving up out of his current class. Currently little love is ROCKIN' the potty training at school, at home... not so much. He used to sit on the potty with me alot, but now he is regressing with us. I really don't want to push him to do it, not too sure what to do just yet.. I guess time will tell :). With that little guy he could do a 180 tonight :). His teachers Ms. Wilwayco and Ms. Cloud just adore him and treat him with such kindness. I love it. Sometimes he calls Ms. Cloud just Cloud, so stinking cute. When we are leaving during the day, BYE CLOUD!! HAHA.. that guy, I tell ya what.
I don't think that I have ever said that we moved in July to a new house next door to my brother and sister in law, and of course his favorite cousins as well :). It has been a lot of fun so far!! I am really looking forward to Halloween in this neighborhood! It is pretty tight knit, and we have come to trick or treat here the last couple of years and really enjoyed it. Tons of kiddos and people sitting in their driveways handing out candy, which goes alot better than trying to get the shy guys to go knock on a door :). We did his room in airplanes now and got him a new train table as a surprise toy for the new house.
He didn't quiiiite show the enthusiasm I was hoping for, but seeing all of our stuff in a new house really shocked him. He has really loved it, as have we!! It's amazing what 700 more sq. ft. can do for giving you more room!!
So as I have said before, I was very scared of storms in my younger tike years, so I am bound and determined to make Brady not feel scared. I originally started saying that the angels in heaven were bowling when it thundered, and that the angels were taking pictures of us when it would lightning. Well at the fresh young age of 3 I could tell he looked at me crooked not really understanding. So I now have said that when it thunders it is God saying, HERE COMES THE RAIN, and when it lightnings it is showing where it needs to rain :). Well now when it thunders that sweet little tot voice says, HERE COMES THE RAIN!! It is so stinking cute! And he isn't scared one single bit! I love it! I have always had such anxiety over consoling a scared child and not wanting him to be scared. Once again, he cures all I tell ya :).
The other night when we were getting ready for bed with Bub, he starts singing this tune that we both stop and stare at each other as we recognized it! IT WAS BAH BAH BLACKSHEEP! The best part of that story is that Brad knew every word to start singing it with him!! SOOOO cute! Then here he comes belting out another familiar tune, OH MY DARLIN CLEMENTINE!! HAHA! I love him being in this school so much! It is so fun to see him doing sooooo much! He is counting to thirty now!! Most numbers between 14-19 sound the same, but then he takes off with counting from 20-30 and only needs a little help. His teachers say that he is the best in the class with his ABC's and his counting. I thank his Gigi, and New Hope for such a great foundation that he was given for learning! He is counting almost everything he comes across :). Genius I tell ya, genius!
He has really taken his s's from being more of a "th" sound to a "ssssss" sound. I love asking him things that he answers with YESSSTTTHHHHSSSS. He still has enough of the "th" sound with his tongue touching his teeth that it just makes it the cutest thing ever.
I didn't take a picture because it was just so foul, but he totally rocked my world with nauseating surprise one night. It was quiet, quiet enough for me to think that he was outside with his dad in the backyard. Brad walks inside, and he is not followed by our little man. At the same time I hear a "delightful" squeal and laugh FROM OUR BEDROOM. I go see what is so humorous and found it not to be so funny to me. He had taken off his diaper inwhich he had made some jewels in it. He had taken those dull jewels and stuck them to a mirror I had set up on an easel in our room! He was smooshin' them on the glass when I walked in like they were pieces of clay! He turned to me with such enjoyment and a smile, like, LOOK WHAT I DID! So I had to try very hard to hide my laughter, OK I had a hard time hiding it, and said NOOOOO BRADY! Man he keeps me on my toes.
Well I will cut myself off now :)....
Super foto finish, here we come!
Did I ever tell you about the time that Brady started a new school called Primrose? Did I ever tell you that the first day he started was also picture day?? OOOOH LORDY, and did we get a fantastic variety of shots!
Here you have the, I don't even know where my mom dropped me off and why am I here, and why are you taking my picture? I demand to go home with my hammer fist!
May I please not as well that the hair do was from throwing a fit, the goal was not a mohawk when I started :)
What do you mean this is going to be my home away from home?
Well fine, let me have some time to absorb this..
If I make this reaalllllyyy sad face with sad lips even will you please call my mom to come and get me?
OH great, now you try putting a teddy bear in my hand to "cuten" up the picture. Where is my Elmo blankie :).
Did I tell you that the same week that we had those award winning pictures taken that he also brought home this gem of an award? Wait a second, do you think they were being smarty pants ;)?
Because apparently I stink at taking pictures the last month, I am going to put our beach trip on here! At the end of September we took our good ol' annual beach trip to Port Aransas! This time we had some partners in crime! Jerre, Paul, Dylan, and Harper joined us on their first beach trip!! It was such a blast to the past because Brady was exactly the same age when we took him the first time!! It was a lot of fun, and a lot of great time spent making memories, talking late into the night after the kids went down. Just catching up and slowing life down a little bit :).
As you can see, Brady almost had to sit in a cooler all the way there!!
HELLLPPPPP! I DON'T FIT IN THE CAR!! :)
I absolutely love taking pictures, I love the fact that I have so many to look back on and remember such wonderful times of our little tike growing up quicker then anything I have ever seen. But being the one taking pictures, it leaves me out of a lot of shots which makes me bonkers. We took a few minutes to get some shots that documented I was even at the beach with them :).
Such a big boy, we let him out of his seatbelt and carseat to sit in my lap on the ferry ride across the ocean to the island!
Besides a sliding glass door to the patio that weighed one gazillion pounds, and a little guy who loves to be outside and wanting it opened and closed a gazillion times, this house was awesome! I have never stayed this close to the beach!! This was our back patio which ran the length of the house and was a great hang out area!
Sitting on the backporch sipping some juice :)
We took his diaper off a few minutes before we were going back, he didn't know quite what to think about having bare skin under those shorts :)
Flying an airplane!
He luuuhhhuuuuvvveeddd the girls, and they loved him. Dylan was very interested in seeing what he was all about :)
And he was more than willing to tell her what he was all about :)
Doing a little preaching apparently :)
Harper said, give me some of that cherry sticky goodness you got there.
Harper was the first to take a taste of the gritty goodness they were crawling on :)
This picture cracked me up, this was Brad standing with Brady at the same age as the picture above with the girls crawling around :).
Here is big man sitting in my lap while we rode on the ferry :)
And here is my little bucket of love on the ferry the very first time!! I LUUUHUUUV PICTURE COMPARISONS :)
That is our house in the background in the middle!! Such an awesome position to the beach!
Even the good ol' bicycle joined us on the trip :)
He was sooooo intrigued with the sweet baby girls
DEAR MOLARS, HANG IN THERE, LOVE- DUMDUM POP
TAKING A STROLL ON THE BEACH WITH MOMMA
I'M GONNA GETCHA!!
EYES! EYES! Lord we had no clue what we were starting with wiping his eyes. Now every time at bath time, even if he only gets water in his eyes, you hear- EYES! EYES! EYES! And have to wipe them off haha!!
He had a blast falling in the waves and laying in the water!
He is veerrrryyyyy fast :), and I am verrrrryyyyyy lazy!
The best picture comparison of this bunch!! Look at this guy who I am pretty sure was making us a present :)
AND LOOK AT THIS BEAUTIFUL BALL OF LOVE ON HIS FIRST TRIP!! Eat him up I tell ya!
Trying to get him a gull!
Chasin' the good ol' gulls.
This picture is foggy but it really cracks me up.. so grown up. He likes to stick his hands in his pockets like this!! HAHA! CRACKS ME UP!
One last thing!! Baby boy is wearing pull ups at school and is pretty much full time trained at school! That is great and everything because lord knows we want our kids to be better when they are away from home then they are with us, but now I get a fit when I mention the word POTTY. Not fun! But wish me luck because we are going to hit this hard at home and get him trained fuuullll circle!! YIKES!!
UNTIL NEXT TIME!!
