The Connell Chronicles: HOLY PEE PEE!!

Funny story to start us off here on this humid day in Austin, TX (but by God A COLD FRONT IS A COMIN’!) … So Brady gets quite the thrill of the act of “exposed crawling” immediately after bath time. It is part of the “show” for him to crawl around nekid as I put lotion on him.. qtip those ears out.. hopefully get a few bristles on the locks. The entire time he is crawling around the room.. ohhhh let’s go look at the mirror.. ohhhh let’s go look at the curtains… oh let’s go look at the rocker… MOM STOP FOLLOWING ME... I am sure it would be entertaining to watch.. but he and I have a great time with the “game” :). Well in the last week he turned into a little snuffaluffagus (I seriously typed that about one letter per 5 seconds sounding out haha.. too lazy to google it) and had a bit of a drainy nose.. He is quite the odd kiddo with the BRAIN SUCKER (nose sucker)… he will let you suck away a lot of the time, he needs to have something to play with.. but sometimes he will even stay really still like a dog that you found “the spot” when scratching… Like yeah mom right there.. riiiiight there! It’s so funny, AND STRANGE! Anyways so he was straddling me as I had my knees up he was leaned back reclining while I drained him of any breathing obstruction. Need to go back to the point that HE WAS NEKID… All of a sudden… HOOOOLY URINATION! It was like a horse was standing there peeing on me.. the sound that it makes when their hurricane of a pee comes out.. it sounded like that. We both just stared at it happening.. I couldn’t move. I was just thinking ohhh man.. don’t pee on the carpet! I am not sure if all boys “mechanics” are the same when they pee but if you put something on top of the “thingee” it stops…. YOU PULL THAT SOMETHING OFF… the thingee continues on like an unplugged air mattress. He has not lost fascination with the “thingee” so he reached down as it is still “happening”. I was like ohhhh heeellll nooooo! Hahaha! Ever seen a water hose going crazy…. Yup. You have the perfect image in your mind. By the end of it my slacks were soaked from the waist to mid thigh… I would have never been able to convince someone that I hadn’t indeed pee’d myself. But I swear it was HIM.. Kinda like this sweet smile… I WOULD NEVER MOMMA.. EVER DO THAT TO YOU.

I totally forgot to post his nine month stats! I will have to get back with ya on the percentile as I don’t remember but he was 23 lbs. 1.5 oz. and 28.75” long! I bought him some leather sandal type of shoes and this kiddos feet are just HUGE…. As in long… plump sure.. but they are loooonnnng too! I bought size 5’s.. they are a no go because they are too tight on the top… Mom bought some softer leather shoes that are 5’s and they fit perfect (I swear she is magical) and are just barely too long! So long baby shoes.. size 1’s? 2’s? 3’s? 4’s? I got to buy nada in those sizes :). He is gonna be a tall one I bet!! I am going to looooove it! Although the probability of special ordering shoes for him is strangely in my head years down the road!

WE LIKE ‘EM BIG!! 3’S YOU ARE OUTTA HERE! We are officially in size 4 diapers full time ;)…

Crib stories… Gigi learned really quick that the “baby streaker” cannot be put down to go nightie night at nap time with just a diaper and a tshirt on.. Hence you will baby with a new “toy” aka.. diaper. HAHA! From crawling on August 28th to pulling up on EVERYTHING already as well.. Good thing is, is he isn’t scared to “get down” and plop on his bootie.. he actually finds it quite funny. :) Note to self.. follow the actions of your son when you get pushed on your bootie in life.. GIGGLE AT IT :) (please give me some time to get used to doing that :)). Also... we are officially at the bottom level of the crib height!! Can't believe how quickly we made that move.. the bed skirt drags the ground now grrrrr! :).

He and Payton are just cute as can be to watch.. Now with both being mobile.. they are quite the pair! I can't believe we went from this..

Jackson is so patient with Brady’s obsession with him as well lol! We got pictures done of them so I will post those next week.. Brady WOULD NOT stop pulling on anything connected to Jackson. Between keeping him from Jackson, and Payton from crawling off.. the photo session definitely had us sweatin’ trying to keep them situated!! Those people at Picture People are fantastic though!! Hopefully that little plug will help comfort them with the anger of me posting my picture of my picture that I am going to post on here because they won’t let me copy it off their website ;).

I am really hoping his interest in the washer continues... this could really work out to my advantage. Scenario- OHHH honey do you know how to make the water sprinkle on the door??? Here momma will show you.. Take this hamper to the washer and you put alllll these clothes in there... Then here is the soap.. here is the softener.. yep that is where you put it... HOOOONNNNNEEEYYYYY, ohhhh do you know how fun the dryer is!! Here momma will show you... first you put allll those clothes in the dryer from the washer... Isn't this fun? No momma can't help.. she will spill her glass of wine. Man does she sure appreciate you though... wait a second.. where are you going... why are you putting the dry clothes on the bed in a pile? What do you mean that is what you have watched daddy do??? ;). Little call out on baby daddy :). XOXO!

EIGHT LEGS IS 6 TOO MANY FOR ME! This furry little fella that is even giving me goosebumps right now looking at this picture.. was eyeballing us when we left GIGI's one day.. first and hopefully last encounter with a live tarantula less the glass that is usually between the two of us!

OHHHH yeah.. I am one of those moms.. instead of rushin’ to grab the rawhide I quickly rushed to get my camera.. but for the paranoid.. it wasn’t in his mouth for more then 2.7 seconds ;). Thank god.. I think from the looks of his face that this will not be a delicatessen he enjoys.. NEXT UP.. DOG NIBBLETS.
