The Connell Chronicles: CONJUNCTA WHAT??

Poor sweet baby came down with his first "nasty".. and yowsa, momma is NOT going to be anything but a huge WEINER... remember this-

Yeah.. I wore it all this week :).. I have almost cried so many times just seeing him sick!Sweet baby boy woke up from his morning nap on Monday, July 5th with a REALLY GOOPEY EYE BALL. For some reason eye boogers are the thing that gets to me.. I can deal with poop any color of the rainbow.. any stinch that might even make my hair curl- BRING IT ON. Eye goop = VOMIT! We spent all day Monday wiping away the eye (it was only the right eye giving some extra goop.. after thinking it might be a clogged tear duct I read to massage the corner of his eye which I did and it did seem to get some goop (because I think it's as gross as that word sounds lol) out. Keep in mind that literally saliva was coming in my mouth as I am doing this, like it would if you were nauseous! Well Tuesday when I picked him up from Mom's he had it going in the left eye as well and they were both getting puffy. Wednesday we took him in.. Conjunctivitis was the doctor's call.. This is known as pink eye as well, or a less serious bacterial/viral infection of a similar sort. BUT I AM CALLING IT PINK EYE.. and we have been treating the spreading as if it were pink eye as well.. Look at this poor sweet baby (and I really don't like taking pictures of him in this sort of state but I wanted a girlfriend to see what I was telling her about)-

In this one the left eye had already started losing the Pinkness and looked so much better!

This one is being posted because as much as this whole ordeal has not been funny, this picture is. It's like he is saying REALLY? REALLY MOM, AS IF THIS IS A KODAK MOMENT?

This is THE DAY AFTER.. I really think that God stirred the medicine that was prescribed to Brady with his very own finger! 35.00 for the TINIEST BOTTLE OF EYEDROPS ~~THAT I ALMOST FAINTED OVER PAYING~~ (seriously the bottle is like an inch tall and one cm. wide, the bill said it was 100.99 WITH NO INSURANCE!), I WOULD HAVE PAID A BAZILLION! OK the check would have bounced but I still would have wrote it!

Also take note of the sippy cup! We are still learning, but he loves it!

We are getting through it, but now we are battling with a nasty nose! It's crazy because we have NO CLUE where he got this, and from the doctor's explanation we still have no clue! He said that usually CONJUNCTA... blah blah (haha) runs parallel with a cold. It's just so weird because his nose showed signs of runniness or being stopped up after him rubbing his eyes and face so much.. Poor baby.. It's just so heartbreaking giving him the medicine because he lets on like you are trying to tear a toe off! He has learned to swat his arms and grab at your arms.. just makes it horrible :(. He will give you the whine if you even start puttng your hand close to his face.. smart little guy :). We did the whole sit in a steamy shower thing last night, he and I.. HOLY MOLY.. momma ripped her clothes off quicker then lightnin'. IT WAS HOT! I gave him his bath in good ol duckie outside of the shower, on the counter the whole time so that we didn't just have to "sit there". He was over it pretty quickly though! The nurse had told me he would probably throw up once that steam started breaking up the "you know what" (let's let that always be code for the word... hold on let me swallow... MUCUS.. bleehhhh gross.). Well after his bottle which came pretty soon after his bath, he went to bed and 'sho 'nuff I hear him messin' around and he had thrown up in his bed (which mind you I had just changed the sheets from the night before sheets to try to keep him from keeping spreading it to himself)! FOUR MORE TIMES of just clear throw up.. he was as happy as can be and seemed to have felt much better. Let's just say that we are doing that darn steam thing the second we get home to give him some time between that, a bottle, and laying down. They told me right now with his "you know what" being clear and his temp. not getting too high that this is just a viral thing so they can't give him antibiotics... We just have to hope that saline drops, nose suckin', and steamy showers helps his little head to clear and that nothing gets infected.. poor little guys! So hopefully our first little cold is almost done! What a doozie it has been!

INTERRUPTION! The above was from Friday, it is now Monday :).. As I was finishing that last paragraph on Friday, Dad calls me and Brady had a temp. of 102.3! Mom gave him some Motrin and a bath and it had dropped to 100.8 by 6 when I got him home and took it again.. Good job Pappy/GIGI!! Kept me from having a heart attack!! Sheesh... that was the highest it has ever been! Saturday, our pediatrician takes appts. on a first come first serve basis until noon so we went ahead and took him in. I really didn't know if we should as his temp. was staying low.. but my gut said otherwise. Well, glad I listened.. along with allllll the other drama in his poor little body, he had an ear infection trying to make it's way as well. So now on top of the eyedrops, we added antibiotics to our daily collection of medicines! Sheesh.. He does seem to feel better, his eyes look great (and might I mention that we are on the last day of eyedrops THREE ~~MISERABLE~~ TIMES A DAY! I know he will love it not happening anymore, but not half as much as momma/GiGi!!), and now it's just a runny nose and coughin' trying to get this thing cleared up! It was a lonnnnng weekend! Teething hit him as well.... and then a mosquito enjoyed him like I enjoy a slurpee.. Do you know how bad I wished I could find that worthless piece o' you know what and smush him over and over! Man! Poor little bug (Brady, there would have been no empathy if I would have found the skeeter!).. but we are getting better and that is all that matters!

On to better things.. I think we may be mobile very, VERY SOON! He has taken on the quickest rocking motion that one has ever seen! It is probably close to one of the funniest things I have seen in a while.. he has to have something behind his feet for him to do it most of the time but he is a practicin! Playin', layin' in bed, you will see him rockin' away!! Can't believe that just yesterday we were getting so excited about him rolling over and now.. this!

Pretty sure this little princess is going to be our motivator if they keep hanging out!! GOTTA CATCH PAY PAY!!

Man I sooo need to take more pics of them! Especially now!! They are gonna be fun, fun, fun!!!! On the move!

Speaking of, can you believe that at this time last year (well June 29th, but still) we were just finding out that he had "jewels"??? I am sorry, I know I say it alot but it amazes me that in the same year you can be pregnant, and then go to wiping boogies off the most beautiful nose you have ever seen! It's amazing so much to me that last year I am pretty sure I was dying over heat stroke and hiding from the sun being so FIVE MONTHS PREGNANT to now.. watching my beautiful son practicing to be on the move! HOW CRAZY IS THAT! Am I the only one that is astounded by these things haha! I will stop saying this stuff November 21 :)..... Speaking of.. (apparently that is the phrase of the day) Christmas is in 165 Days, 12 Hours, 9 Minutes ( I just found a website that is going to be my favorite to look at daily that does the countdown for you :)) ... That is crazy business, alot random, and a "super lot" exciting! I loooooove Winter and Christmas.. ok this is going to go into a tangent so I am going to move on..

The big eater has moved on to bigger and better things.. including the "mum-mums".. If you don't have them for your youngster, GET 'EM! They are great! Auntie "Mana" got Brady a box and he just loves the fire out of them most of the time. They are a great "sitter" when I am cleaning up his dinner and stuff as well! Gigi introduced him to "puffs" and he will gnaw on those as well! It's crazy all the things that I don't even think about.. I guess assuming that he will do all of these things when he is over a year (Don't ask me what timeline I am on lol). Then someone else does it and I am like AWESOME, I didn't know he could do that! HAHAHA! Almost like a new car that someone shows you something about that you didn't know it did :).

We went to our friend Sarah's 1st birthday party!! They did some "frolicking" around in the pool before we told them to KEEP IT CLEAN. :)

Sarah was alllll smiles.. isn't she fantastic?

Glad I got smiles out of her because once again.. the pool was mesmerizing to Bug :).

This was so cute.. we were having a family discussion I guess :)... Brad was telling me about something and we looked down and Bug was just looking at him and leaning like you see in the pic. like ARE YOU KIDDING DADDY, TELL ME ALL 'BOUT IT! First Father/Son talk... of the many I am sure will come :)!

Our Little Cookie Monster :)... Who by the way weighed in on Sat. July 10 at a whopping 21 lbs. 9.5 oz.! He was 21 lbs. 7 oz. on that previous Wed.!

I was messing around with editing photos and have discovered that if there is a shirt not to wear should you be hiding in the dark from someone with night vision... IT IS THIS ONE! I was teaching Bug to sit as still as possible... shhhh be veeeewwwy veeewwwy quiet bubbeeee!
